Don't overlook this restaurant/private club that shares space with a bowling alley. You'll be surprised at the menu selection and quality of the food served here. We last visited in December and the food here was much better in taste and value than the next night's meal at Gaston's.

“And Here in the Boonies... is a GREAT Restaurant”
Reviewed December 3, 2011

For years we've gone to Mtn Home for our Spring and Fall Fly Fishing trips. And all those years the first place my bride wants to go for a meal is Club 178. When we first started eating there it required a $5/yr membership for cocktails or beer... now waived. But here in the Arkansas Ozarks is a restaurant with linen table cloths, silverware, real service... and food beyond belief... at a reasonable price. Beer and wine under $5, entrees in the teens (to include soup or salad, vegies, and all the trimmings), and if that weren't enough... the Sunday Brunch is obsene!!! For under $10 you eat till you burst on homemade pastries, fresh fruit, breakfast and luncheon entrees plus custom waffles and omlettes.

Trust me on this... you really need to try this place... you won't believe you're in the Ozarks.
