Recently Stopped here again for about the 6th time.
The people are always friendly, the place has been rehabbed and the breakfast is free.
If they quote you more than 50 bucks for a double bed upstairs, negotiate.
The room was comfortable, the shower was good, the location was good because it was located right off the hyway.
This is like something out of a horror movie. The flourescent bathroom light flickers but never goes on; and I didn't sleep a wink. All night I was worried something was going to crawl on me or worse. Thankfully, we didn't see anything. The furniture needs to be pulled out and the floor vacuumed, and the toilet could be cleaned a little better. At least the water pressure in the sink is good, but I'm not taking a shower so I don't know what that's like... The best thing about the place is the man at the front desk. He is cordial and helpful, and has a comforting air about him. The waffles you make in the waffle maker yourself are decent too. At one star, this place blows away the Days Inn, which we walked out of before coming here.
This motel is possibly the worst one we have ever stayed at! We chose it because it had high ratings and reviews on this website. When we arrived the lobby was disgusting.....the a/c & heating vents were covered with filthy dirt. When we went to the room assigned to us it smelled moldy and was dirty and in disrepair. I immediately went back to the front desk and asked for another room as we would not stay in a room so nasty. The second room was not as bad as the first....but was still one that I would not recommend. It had dirty & worn carpet and bedding that didn't appear fresh. The room was dark and felt damp. Smell was not a factor, though. We stayed the night only because it was late and we were exhausted. The pictures posted on this website are misleading. Probably taken when it was last renovated. The only good thing I have to say is the bed was comfortable.....maybe that is because we were so tired!! Breakfast was nothing you wanted to eat. Beware of this one.....suggest you choose another.
We typically choose to stay at Super 8 or a comparable brand of lower priced hotels as we are only staying overnight, passing through, and want to spend as less as possible. This ended up being the pricest hotel cost for us on our trip, in which it was the worse hotel that we have stayed in for several years. The entire hotel is dirty, the side wall to the bed had stains all over the wall, not sure what type of stains - tried not to look at the wall. Our room had 2-double beds, one bed did not have a bedspread, which maybe better that way for cleanliness, the pillow cases smelled moldy - did not want to use. The bathroom stool was loose, not bolted very well, if at all to the floor, so had to not move much to get on and off the toliet. Hmmm..continental breakfast....not sure where the food was, when we went down for breakfast only saw the waffle maker, 2-packets of instand oatmeal and 1-packet of instant cocoa along with 2-coffee containers, and a couple of bad looking apples. I would not choose this hotel again as there are other hotels in the area that we can access if we travel through this location again.
