“Amazing place!”
Reviewed July 20, 2014

This museum is outstanding, and amazing that it is FREE! It has beautiful surroundings, outdoor trails and activities, beautiful and interesting art, nice eating area. I can't say enough about it...if you are in NW Arkansas and have a couple hours, you must go!

“Wonderful American Art”
Reviewed July 19, 2014 via mobile

A wonderful collection of American Art from colonial days through Twentieth Century. All major artists represented including Winslow Homer, Mary Cassatt, both Wyeths, Remington, O'Keef, Jasper Johns, Hopper, Marsden Hardley etc etc. Collections housed in beautiful Moshe Safdie building on beautiful wooded grounds with stream. All of this is admission free. Quite busy the Saturday I visited. Large dining area at Eleven Cafe. Very large gift shop with expensive upscale merchandise. Parking plentiful- covered and uncovered- and free. Museum Guides pleasant and knowledgable. Plenty of elevators and restrooms. Historical data on colonial portraits. Do not miss the audio headsets- they are free too and easy to miss when you enter. Grounds with walking paths and ponds. Beautiful gift from The Walmart heiress to all visitors. Thank You.

“Arkansas jewel”
Reviewed July 19, 2014

Arkansas is lucky to have such a fine museum as this. It is a bit off the beaten track from major cities. The architecture of the building is worth seeing. There is no way clear signs to get from the car park/garage into the museum without getting out in the rain! There is an open atrium from the elevators to the museum and gift shop that you have to pass through, so you get wet in the rain!
