“Amazing Museum Hotel”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 5, 2014

We planned on going to Bentonville to see Crystal Bridges as a day trip from Ft. Smith, AR. Plans changed and we chose to stay the night before going to the Museum. This was a great find! I would definitely go back just to stay at the hotel. The art was amazing, the room was comfortable, quirky and luxurious. It was a very pleasant surprise to find such a sophisticated place in NW Arkanasas.

Dinner at The Hive (in house restaurant) was excellent and reasonably priced. Loved the farm to table menu with the house-made pickles and other condiments. The servers were friendly and efficient, knowing the menu well.

The lobby is filled with ,modern art and sculpture which is rotated approximately every 6 months The exhibit that was installed when we stayed was very thought provoking. There is also different art in the rooms and on each floor. The elevator is only accessible with a room key card so the public cannot be on the guest floors. One of the most fun aspects were the large green penguins that traveled around the hotel. When we arrived on our floor after dinner, two of them were waiting outside of another guest's room.

The rooms are very comfortable, shower is great and toiletries are sold in the gift shop. Robes were an added touch. We loved the whole experience

I was very intrigued by the hotel website and the trip advisor reviews. Our experience met my expectation. The green penguins being moved around the hotel was fun. I don't really think there would be a room with a 'good" view. The room was small but very nice. Very modern and clean. Comfortable bed. Bathroom was large. Housekeeping was very friendly. Check in and check out was very easy. Meal in their restaurant - The Hive - was excellent. We were lucky enough to score a parking place out front so did not use the parking garage. Looking forward to staying in the other 21c hotels.

we stayed here over Thanksgiving while on a visit to Crystal Bridges. What a great experience...truly a "museum" hotel. worth the trip by itself!

the lobby was intriguing as were the various exhibit rooms. Definitely do the tour guided by the hotel's curator.

rooms fantastic..top shelf everything..great beds and pillows(we bought one for home!)

bar great ..drinks perfect...fun staff. only bar choice as Bentonville was dry until last year.

Restaurant was definitely on the "foodie" side....as advertised....if thats your thing(not us). very good. great service.

short pleasant walk to Crystal Bridges, parks and downtown Bentonville.

free parking.....pleasant doorman and staff.....

and you have to dig the GREEN PENGUINS everywhere!

We are planning a trip to Louisville based on staying at the 21c there!

Dear greenday61,
It is very rewarding to know that guests like our hotel, but it is even more gratifying when it involves a declaration that it was "worth the trip by itself". From our museum quality art to our comfortable rooms, our goal is to give all of our guests a great experience, and we are so pleased that we were able to provide that during your stay. Thank you again for your kind words, and we hope you will visit us again in the coming months when we will have a totally new and exciting art exhibit for you to enjoy.

Wow! I travel a lot and this ranks as one of my top hotels. We stayed only one night but I didn't want to leave. You are warmly greeted at the door and then you are surprised with the museum incorporated right into the lobby. The interiors are clean and neutral, just like a museum so the artwork is at the forefront of your experience. All my hotel room requirements were met if not exceeded: complimentary wifi, lots of outlets, lots of light, super comfortable bed, HD TV with HD feed and finally awesome water pressure. The location is just off the square and near the museum so you can enjoy all the pleasure of this small town.

Room Tip: High floors don't have a better view and the corner rooms have an additional window.

Stayed for two nights for a business meeting. Hotel is adjacent to "The Square" in Bentonville, home to Sam Waltons original 5 & 10 cent store and museum, a must see if interested in this retail pioneers early beginnings. The hotel is surrounded by all types of art, both inside and out. Very neat and clean, nice bar and restaurant. The shower pressure is the best I've ever experienced in 43 years of travel. The only bad thing to comment on, is the kitchen cooks with a wood fired oven and the smell of burning wood somehow gets into the room, and I was on the 3rd floor. Other than that hotel is very nice. I would highly recommend this hotel. The room is very large and tastefully decorated with a king bed. Oh, I almost forgot, parking is in the rear on the second floor with no elevators or rear entrance. You have to carry your bags down two flights of stairs, all outdoors and walk all the way around the building to check in. They do offer doorman service and valet parking. I suggest dropping bags at front door, if you desire to self park. This was a major design flaw, in my opinion, especially for first time visitors.

We stopped to visit the art exhibit. After an amazing welcome by the doorman and front desk staff, we visited the exhibit throughout the first floor. This Cuban exhibit was spectacular. We then visited Crystal Bridges and planned to drive to Kansas City. Our welcome at 21C caused us to rethink our plan--and we booked the night at 21C. At 5 p.m. we participated in an explanation of the exhibit. Dinner at the hotel was outstanding. Thanksgiving morning we decided to participate in their Thanksgiving Feast--and FEAST it was. We were surprised with the cotton candy treat that came with our check at both meals. What a 'fun' touch to an enjoyable meal. Service was super, friendly, efficient and we enjoyed the penguins. As we left the hotel--we asked if they were doing a special meal for Christmas? We would love to return to enjoy another visit to 21C.

Room Tip: We had a most enjoyable room on the east side. I cannot believe there would be a bad room in this h...
