Owner description: When Sam Walton opened his 5&10 on the Bentonville town square in 1950, he had no idea he'd planted the seeds for what would become the global leader in retail, saving millions of people money so they could live better. Today, that humble little dime store is the location of The Walmart Museum. A family-friendly experience in 3 parts, the Museum features a world-class exhibit gallery, Walton's 5&10, and The Spark Cafe. Monday - Thursday: 8:00 a.M. - 9:00 P.M. Friday - Saturday: 8:00a.M. - 10:00P.M. Sunday: 12:00 p.M. - 9:00 P.M.

It was a short and sweet visit that allowed for a more informative and intimate insight into the man and his family that started it all!

Nice walk thru. Staff was friendly & enthusiastic. Gift shop & ice cream parlor were nostalgic (grape Nehi in bottles!). Can't say I learned much, but left with a good feeling - what more can one ask? Hours are great - opens early & stays open late, in contrast to Crystal Bridges. Nice park in the square across the street, with the expected Confederate memorial.

This is the original 5 & 10 that the Waltons opened and the museum takes one through the growth to modern day.

Everyone in Arkansas, which I had not visited before, was friendly, including the people in the original 'Walton 5 & 10'.

Not a lot of stuff and it was mostly personal family stuff. We did not know what to expect so we were somewhat disappointed. If you want good food go to Mimi's in Rogerville, which is close and a very upscale area.
