“Excellent Home-Cooked Food!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 14, 2012

This is the first time we ate there. Didn't really know what to expect. We ordered their daily special - chicken and dumplings. It was very tasty, and there was lots of it. Our sides, mashed potatoes and gravy, corn, and okra, were excellent. The potatoes were fresh (and not instant), the corn was very sweet, and the okra was the best. The waitresses were very friendly. We left there feeling very satisfied, and we'll definitely go back.

“Down Home Cooking”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 25, 2012

This restaurant has ONE of the best Country Fried Steaks my husband says he has ever eaten. Mama's is a small restaurant right on the highway. Parking is good and the decor is something you will remember from the 1950's. This place just FEELS good to eat at. Very comfortable and it just says......":You are in the South, take your time and enjoy your meal". We ate there as we were camped in our motorhome right down the street and found this place quite by accident. If you are in the area.....this is a must.
