Though we don’t eat at Red Lobster frequently (about 4 times a year), we have eaten at several different locations and at this particular one at least 4 times. Out of more than 35 visits, we have only been disappointed once, and that was not here. As a matter of fact, the food quality, quantity, temperature served and the service here has always been excellent with only a very minor glitch or two.
On our most recent visit, we took guests visiting from out-of-town. The greeter seated us and named the server who would be attending to our dining needs. She soon arrived, introduced herself and proceeded to tell us the names of her two co-workers who would be helping her with our dinner service. She pointed out that they work as a team and feel free to call upon any one of them for anything we needed. She gave us menus, informed us of the specials and proceeded to take our drink orders.
Upon her return with our drinks, we ordered our meals. Each couple ordered the ‘Create Your Own’ combo with the entrees we desired. I also ordered a cup of crab & corn chowder. When it was served, it was cool and had very little crab in it. I notified one of the team members who politely whisked it away, returning shortly with a fresh, hot cup with lots of crab in it. This was the only downside of our entire meal. The manager even came over later to apologize and to make sure the replacement met our expectations, also asking if there was anything else he could do to make up for the mistake.
The rest of the meal was served piping hot, in ample portions, in a very courteous manner. The entire restaurant was clean, including both the restrooms and the parking lot. When I queried our guests, who aren’t shy, about their meals, their replies were that their food was very good, as it always is at Red Lobster. This experience at this particular Red Lobster is typical of both our other visits here, and other locations also.
