I booked a room based on reviews and price. Now, in all fairness, this property has A LOT of potential...its just not there yet. The good points are a kitchenette and a nice pool area. This property is a quaint, 1960's style 'efficiency apartment', but it really needs some money and attention to detail. The furniture, although old and showing its age, was top notch...for its time. That's about it. I found that the sliding glass door that goes to the pool area is secured by a single door latch and a security door chain, which is to say, it is not secure. Same for the main entry door, which has no dead bolt and a glass insert in the upper half of the door. I even found where the door frame had missing wood, indicating the door had been pried open at some point in time. I felt unsafe there and did not sleep well, awaking at ever bump in the night. I realized that if I were to go visit the area during the day as I expected to do, I would need to load all of my personal belongings in my vehicle or take the chance of never seeing them again. Overall the entire property needs to be restored...no...not updated...restored.
