We ended here three times and were very happy each time. The squash blossom appetizer is incredible.

The food was good. We ate breakfast here. I thought it was expensive. I don't mind spending $$ for a good dinner, but for eggs , potatoes & toast -- not so much.

Try the stuffed squash blossoms! They must have an award winning chef because dinner and breakfast were exceptional; and without the price! The dishes were professionally plated and presented. The waitresses were so friendly. Hi Erin !

We only get to enjoy this restaurant once a year but we make sure to plan a visit here as the food and service is outstanding. We love the fresh local flavors, the wild game offerings and the amazing triple chocolate souffle. The fantastic corn bread is only served at lunch. Also try the Piki bread. Local Navajo treat that my husband loves and remembers from feast days. This place is steeped in history being a former Harvey House and the Hotel, La Posada Inn, is in is a wonderful place to stay. The wait staff and host make you feel very welcome.

Given the reviews of this place on tripadvisor, I would have thought that Winslow, AZ was a hot spot. There is. nothing. there. period. So, it was particularly shocking when I came across la posada hotel in the middle of "town." I have no idea who actually stays here, unless folks are driving across country or are stopping from a ride on the train (it's at the station). Nonetheless, the hotel is quaint and lovely. The atmosphere in the restaurant is also traditional Mexican and quite nice.

The food was good-very good. It wasn't outstanding, though. I had the "big waffle," which was a Belgian waffle with two poached eggs, sausage, and their chili potatoes. The waffle was okay, but I've had better. The eggs were very good, although a bit vinegary. The sausage I didn't particularly like (very "meaty" tasting). The potatoes were very tasty (but cheesy). In short, it was... well, breakfast.

The best part was the presentation of the food, the atmosphere of the hotel, and the overall "coolness" of getting off the highway in the middle of nowhere, driving down a deserted town road, and coming across this awesome hotel. It was an oasis on a long drive from Highway 40, Flagstaff to Albuquerque. Definitely worth stopping for a meal on your way through AZ, but don't go way out of your way to visit.
