Best foodie meal I've had in years. Reservations a MUST. Even later in the evening there were plenty of families with (older) kids, many in hiking clothes. Not stuffy despite the high quality food. I had the wild wild platter which included bison short ribs, elk medallions and quail. The bison was mouth watering. The elk was unfortunately a little tough and tasteless without the huckleberry sauce, and that was at medium rare to keep it from being too dry. Do not pass up the chance to eat here.

My wife and i were approaching Winslow last Tuesday evening and needed a place to eat. The options were few and La Posada's Turquoise Room looked interesting. A phone call determined that there was room in the dining room.

What a treat!

Excellent selection of Slow Food Regional cuisine. The Lamb Sampler was to die for and my wife's Pork Carnitas was excellent. Service was excellent. Prices for the entree about $35 PER. Pork Belly and Asparagus appetizer was expensive and skimpy. "Green wine options" by the glass were good as well.

The Chocolate Orange Souffle was exquisite and they make a good cup of coffee too.

Fueled the tank for the remaining drive to Albuquerque.

After reading all the reviews and the fabulous food photos, we couldn't wait to try the Turquoise Room. They REALLY DO want you to rsvp (which sounded silly, at the time-no one was anywhere around, but it did fill up VERY quickly). The signature spicy black bean and corn soup was quite delicious. We shared a bowl as we wanted to save room for our entrees. My husband was pleased with his salad (salmon, kale, roasted vegetables, gold beets). and the 'taste' of my entree the chipotle shrimp pasta was great BUT the pasta itself was very gluey. The chipotle cream sauce, the veggies and the shrimp were outstanding but that pasta - hmmm, not so much. We also had breakfast there the next morning and it was terrific. You wouldn't expect good food in a little 'berg' like Winslow but it was great. The waitresses are all attired in the 'Harvey Girl' aprons (probably overkill, but cute). Some of the best service ever!

Chef John Sharpe does a wonderful job! Uses fresh local ingredients to prepare some of the best native and southwestern dishes I've ever tasted!

Nathan gave us good service, the food was very good albeit a limited menu and the desserts were super yummy! Try the toffee dessert...
