It's close to the Interstate, but away from the main attractions in Williams. They weren't very informative about the attractions in Williams. We had to find them on our own. This town had some of the best shops and restaurants along the Route 66 downtown area and we had a blast there with a gunfight in the streets, good deals in shops, and lots to see. Route 66 is alive in Williams. The laundry area had only one washer and dryer, both were well used. More machines would have been nice. Originally the room was not the one we reserved, but it was straightened out. Of all the places we stayed in our trek around Arizona, this was among the poorest quality for the price. Free Wi Fi but no free breakfast.

This hotel is set up for tour groups that visit the grand canyon, I stayed for one night and the room is old and outdated, the hotel smelled, the indoor pool is nice, the staff at the front desk does not care, they act like they are tired of dealing with tourist.

We checked in late as we drove from Las Vegas. The reception staff was not very friendly nor professional. I had questions with regards to Williams and found them unresponsive. The rooms are average in size and outdated. The rooms were clean, but the general areas in the hotel felt dirty. The hotel rates in comparison with other hotels in Williams are competitive. The hotel is not in the centre of town and you will need to drive to get to restaurants etc.

Decent, clean room with great pillows. Check-in was quick and efficient. No complementary breakfast, just coffee makers in the room. Coffee, lemon-water and pop corn in the lobby. Easy off/on to the highway. Close to downtown. Skip the breakfast buffet in the attached Doc Holiday Restaurant, not worth it, go somewhere else.

Decent, clean room with great pillows. Check-in took far longer than it should have -- if you can arrive at before or after 3pm, pick the later time when they change shifts.

No complementary breakfast, just coffee makers in the room. Coffee and lemon-water in the lobby. Easy stroll to McDonald's, Jack in the Box and KFC if you don't feel like eating at the hotel restaurant.

As a business traveler it is not fair for me to compare a vacation area hotel to my regular travels.
Here on family vacation, hotel was what I expected for a vacation area.
My staff experience was very good.
Room met our needs as tourists/travelers.
Only challenge with our room was sink, toilet, and bathroom door were all VERY loud. Made staff aware so next travelers may not have to deal with the noise.

Dear Kcfaninstl-
We would like to thank you for taking the time to rate us. Honest comments are appreciated, valued, and used to help us excel where we need work, and to reward when a good job is shown. We are thrilled to hear the hospitality exceeded expectations, but apologize for the bathroom amenities being less than par. That is an issue that has been addressed by maintenance.
Again, thank you for taking the time to rate us, and we hope your next stay with us is fantastic!

Sincerest regards,
Naura J

My wife and I drove from Columbia, SC to Williams, Arizona. Along the way we stayed, primarily, at Holiday Inn Express or Hampton Inns. All were fine...then Williams. I wish I had done my homework better a read reviews of where to stay. The Holiday Inn was not clean, had no working clothes washers or dryers and NO ELEVATOR. The complete lack of customer service topped off a stay that can best be described as adequate (we were not drawing fire and had no explosions to deal with). My recommendation is there are many other places to stay in Williams...and do so.

Room Tip: Stay someplace else

Dear HopDiver-

We would like to thank you for taking the time to post your candid review. We strive to be the best in hospitality and accommodations, and are sorry to see that we have fallen short of expectations. The cleanliness and lack of working appliances has been made aware to management and maintenance, and has been addressed. As for the not having an elevator, it was agreed upon with other hotels that no one in Williams would have an elevator, to keep with the small town historic charm. We do understand that this may be an inconvenience. The customer service failing has also been addressed to management and personnel, as we try to maintain the highest levels of hospitality.
Once again, thank you for your candid review, and we hope for a second chance to prove expectations can be met!

Sincerest regards,
Naura J
