“Friendly receptionist, good beds, big rooms”
Reviewed November 5, 2012

The rooms are renovated with good beds. Concept is a bit old-fashioned. People at the reception were friendly. Breakfast was ok. There is no elevator. Because we went to the Grand Canyon we stayed for 2 nights and that's long enough ...

Room Tip: Ask a room on the groundfloor when you have difficulties with doing steps!

We stayed here for one night and had 3 rooms booked. I was a bit dubious as I had read some negative comments but it was ideally located for us so I booked it anyway.

On arrival we were booked in efficiently and directed to our rooms.
All three rooms were very clean and spacious.
The small pool was covered but this did not concern us as we had not intended to use it
The hotel is a short drive from the town of Williams, and it is well worth a visit! A lovely little old western town on Route 66! Lots of route 66 memorabilia to be had and plenty of photo opportunities.
We went into a bar and played some pool listening to good music and drinking lovely cocktails.
There are a few places to eat but the one we tried was a bit overpriced and relied on their "route 66" status rather than the quality of their food, which was disappointing.
Back at the hotel we all had a good nights sleep before heading down for breakfast in the morning.

The breakfast area is very small and it was difficult to get seated. There is limited choice but it is an adequate breakfast to start the day, nothing special but nothing to complain about either. Its just a shame that there werent more tables or an additional area.
All in all very good value for money and very clean and quite

We spent one night there between Grand Canyon and Las Vegas. I didn't expect such a nice environment. My room was on the back side of the building, looking at a beautiful pinewood.
Such a relaxing atmosphere! Close to Grand Canyon, to Flagstaff and about 3mins by car to Williams and its Route 66 shops and restaurant and railway (very touristic, of course, but very nice!).
Room was comfortable, big and clean, breakfast was good, there is also a small pool if you have a couple of hours to relax. Friendly staff, he helped us a lot and gave plenty of information.

I had my doubts about "Super 8" (I did not make rez). While the hotel definitely needs updating in all areas, I was very pleased about how pleasant lady at Front desk was, the cleanliness of the rooms, having ENOUGH towels, and the free breakfast. I would recommend you invest in larger bath towels. some of us are not 'skinny minnies'.....

Location SEEMS "far away' from anything...but in reality it is quite close to town and very close to AZ64...we were returning from Grand Canyon.. We ate at Pine Country resto....shops were closing so we didn't have time to look around.

Beds were VERY comfortable. I would like to see larger pillows and firmer pillows. (or MORE pillows - I guess I could have asked!).

Breakfast very nice. Love the waffles, mini donuts.....Coffee a little weak.....

What I didnt love (And nothing to do with hotel!!): the ice covering my car this morning.

I could definitely recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Room on south side - closer to trains so you do hear the noise but its not so bad. If you travel in...
