I had booked a room for 2 nights at the Travelodge several months ahead of time, but after reading some of the reviews on this site, I seriously considered changing my reservations. I'm glad that I didn't. My husband and I found this motel to be a good deal for the money. It was clean, the staff was friendly, everything worked fine, we had a refridgerator in our room (and a microwave on our 2nd night a couple of days later), and it was quiet. We did later stay at the Quality Inn closer to the Grand Canyon, which had bigger rooms and more modern decor with a larger bathroom, but for 2 times the price. We stayed at the Travelodge when we first got into town and also on our last night in town to save a little money (saved about $100.00 versus staying 4 nights at Quality Inn) and we felt that the Travelodge was definetly a good deal for the money (we spent a little less than $50.00 per night with the discount offer that we found vs. Quality Inn at $104.00 per night with a 15% discount). No regrets - would definitely stay at this motel again.

We had been planning this trip to Arizona, for some time, We decided to stay in Williams,on the mother road.Route 66. We drove from our first weeks vacation, which was Albuquerque,NM,so,for us "Brits" it was quite a long way!
We arrived, excitedly to the motel, which was opposite a great looking diner. We asked for a non smokeing room, but as soon as we opend the door.....pooie!! Stale cigarette smell, all over the curtains, bedding, etc!! It stunk!! We had a room on the top floor, and we had no daylight,as it was behind a pillar. There was a tiny window,in the bathroom, which we kept open at all times. We never stayed the full week,we left, payed Mrs Patel, her mony and moved on!!....Never again!

Below average accomodations, furniture, shower, beds etc. To add to it the owner is a very very rude guy. Will never ever go there again. And I hope you don't either.

Stayed here for 1 night in Sept 2004.
What can I say other than this place was the pits.
It reminded us of the kind of motel you see in horror movies! The room was clean but the grey walls and dim lights made our skin crawl. The bathroom and shower was tiny and mildew. We were booked in for 2 nights but couldn't bear to stay the second so drove to Vegas a day early. Don't bother to bring an alarm clock, as the train will wake you from 5am.
As for the breakfast, what a joke!
I suppose for 35 pounds a night you can't really complain but be warned if you like your basic luxuries forget this place.
Sorry Travel Lodge Williams, not up to the usual standard.

This was a reasonably priced motel that allowed us to make a low cost road trip to the Grand Canyon. Although the motel is older, there is a nice feeling of hospitality, and both nights we were there the place was full. We would definitely stay here again.

We stayed at the Grand Canyon Travelodge for two nights in late April of 2004. We chose it from the national Travelodge internet site. It was close to the Grand Canyon Railroad which originates in Williams.

The room was clean and non-smoking as requested. The outside of the place is somewhat rundown. Evidently the housekeepers vacuum only inside the rooms and not outside of the doors!

The "free" continental breakfast was a joke. They would not open the office until after 7:30 a.m. and then the breakfast consisted of some commercial mini doughnuts and coffee which the clerk was just starting to make.

There are other places in Williams in which to stay. This place wasn't horrible, but.....
