This hotel was a pleasant surprise. Didn't know what to expect when my BFF booked it for a one night stay, but the reviews I had read were accurate. A good, quiet night's sleep on a comfortable bed in an exceptionally clean room. This was a very basically furnished room, with a small refrigerator, coffee maker and microwave. However, there was no phone in the room. We had to walk back and forth from the lobby when we had questions. Other than that, we would stay here again, if the need arises. The office person was pleasant and helpful.

Room tip: We had an end unit and expected noise, but never heard any.

My family and I spent two nights at El Rancho in August while visiting the South Rim. The motel was one of the cleanest I have ever stayed in, cleaner than some high-end hotels. All the amenities were working fine and the room was equipped with everything you may need for a comfortable night. If I could offer a suggestion to the management: a shelf for toiletries in the bathroom would be a great addition.

The gentlemen at the front desk was very nice, offered many good recommendations for dinner and breakfast as well as discount coupons for local restaurants.

The location is great with easy access to restaurants and highways. Unfortunately, it also means that the motel is located between two noisy roads but this is not anything that the management can control.

clean, comfortable and worked out ok for us for 2 nights.
Don't expect fluffy towels, plenty of great coffee and fancy soaps. If you want a frugal, no frills; bed, shower, refrig, microwave and little coffee maker kind of place it is here. It is an old time motel. There are lots of expensive motels around Grand Canyon, but this was not expensive.

I was pleasantly surprised when we arrived. The daughter in law of the owner checked us in. She was helpful and kind...down to earth. The motel was clean but it is just the basics. We paid such a good rate, I wasn't expecting much and it exceeded my expectations. We were spending two days at the Grand Canyon and we have four kids. I booked the room with three beds that sleeps six. It was perfect. We just needed a place to sleep. It was clean, the AC, tvs, and wifi worked well and the beds were decently comfortable. We would stay here for a night or two again.
