“Won't stay here again”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 5, 2012

First of all the night of arrival, saw a skunk just outside the room near the so called unheated breakfast room. Second, the room looked as though it was an after thought, last one on end, very cold even w/heater. Third, the owners have a camera in the so called intercontinental breakfast room which was probably an 8x12 area, no heater, not to mention the manager said we had to eat in the breakfast area, don't forget unheated. It was below 40!! I even explained to him we are leaving now, that didn't seem to matter. He threatened to call police and of course I said call. I was shocked that Rodeway had a place like this since we stayed in a great Rodeway in Estes Park, CO. Traveler's beware of this particular. Rodeway Interprises, please check this place out!!!

We were tired and really needed a room and didn't want to pay a fortune, so this is where we ended up. The room was clean and very large. It had a fridge, microwave, and I think a coffee maker (I don't drink the stuff, so I'm not 100% sure about this). The shower was pretty good, too. There was breakfast, but it was your standard highly processed junk. It was good for staying at one night while one the road.

I stayed here in July and this Hotel is not recommended at all for any reason. There were safety issues all over this property from the wrong size wrought iron staircase that leans you way forward as you climb up and way backward on your way down (apparently the property got the wrong size staircase and instead of having a welder cut it down to fit they just rigged it up as is with no thought for customer safety) to obvious electrical issues and more as listed in other reviews. I can only figure that Williams Arizona is one of those places that does not believe in building codes or this place would be shut down. The room was sloppily put together and maintained in an amateur way. The bathroom caulking job seriously looked like it was done by a second grader! It was not a clean room but to be fair not the worst I've ever seen but way down on the list, which is exactly where every traveler should put....WAY down on your list, like at the bottom. Also note as has been mentioned in other reviews there are two Rodeway Inns in Williams. I didn't stay at the Downtowner Rodeway so I can't comment on that one, but if you do stay at a Rodeway in Williams make certain it isn't THIS one.

Room Tip: My Tip is to just Stay Away!

This is the worst motel I've ever stayed at! Nobody could speak proper english. We had to wait for the manager for over 15 min before we even could see our room. When we got to our room everything was fine until we turned on the heater. You could smell gas everywhere in the room. We went out to grab some dinner and when we came back it was like walking into a gas chamber. I'm sure that if you would light a match inside the room, the whole place would blow up. The reception was closed so we had to stick with it. Until the next morning... I've never had such a headache. We went to the front-desk and talked to the manager. He came with us and noticed the smell of gas. He thought it was natural, but we insisted and we changed room which was a little bit better, not by much. The breakfast was a joke. It was coffee and blueberry muffins. And when we checked out we reminded him about the gas leakage and then he started to threaten us and would call the police.
This place is a big joke. Never stay here not even for one night. We had already payed for it in advance so we couldn't get our money back, not even after the first night.

We booked by phone whilst travelling through Arizona. We booked two rooms for $85 each but when we arrived at what appeared to be a nice looking Rodeway In we were told that we were booked in for the other Rodeway Inn just up the road (opposite Rod's Steak House). This premises is much seedier looking than the other and the rooms, whilst adequate were basic and unappealing. The air conditioning in our room developed a loud noise in the middle of the night and had to be switched off.

Don't know where to start. The place was that bad. I actually went out to my car and slept sitting-up which was an improvement to sleeping in this "flea-bag" place. The older man who works there (possibly manages or owns) is lucky there are laws againest assault.
