We staggered into this hotel after a long day driving from Vegas via the Hoover Dam, choosing it purely because it was the first off the I-40. It was super, mainly because the staff were so friendly and helpful.

The room was large, with a comfortable bed (I don't understand the review about the bad mattress - it must be the only one in the hotel), a coffee maker and a fridge. It overlooked the pool but there was no noise and the windows had blackout blinds.

We arrived back from the Grand Canyon late one night and thought we were in time for the Steakhouse restaurant because the hotel sign outside said it was open until 10pm. In fact that was the summer opening time and the restaurant closed at 9pm. It was 9.15pm. The server offered to see what could be done and then the manager apologised for the misleading sign and said she would see if something could be organised for us. It could. The chef came out and said no problem, order what you like. We did and it was excellent. (The sign had clearly been there since last summer though...)

We overheard a waiter mention s'mores and asked what they were. He explained and a little later Chef came out and said if we wanted to taste one we should follow him to the fire pit. He roasted some marshmallows and made us one - how nice is that? The firepit is a great place to sit in the evening.

There was a cowboy singer in the lounge area both evenings we were there, which created a good atmosphere.

There is a small office where you can print off boarding passes and you can buy stamps at reception - even for the UK.

The only negative comment I have - and it seems to be true of a lot of US hotels in this area - is the dull decor. It was the usual brown and mushroom mix, but the open architecture helped to lighten it up.

Overall we felt very well looked after.

This is the second time my husband and I have stayed here. We love the spa, and the atmoshpere. This is a great hotel. So many things to offer. Last time we were here the water smelled alittle funny, but that was a city water issue. I believe its been resolved I didnt notice it this time. The beds are alittle hard. This time we brought our dog. Its nice to find a quality hotel thats pet friendly.

We are just returning home from a wonderful stay at the Best Western Plus of Williams. Very friendly and helpful staff! It is a very quiet, pine surrounded location - away from town which we loved. The fireplace in the lobby area, and firepit outside made for great areas to relax out of the room after long days of hiking and sightseeing in the surrounding areas. The breakfast had many choices both hot and cold. Our family of five (three older children) truly enjoyed our stay and the accomodations here. Williams is a central location for Grand Canyon and Sedona - and Flagstaff is close by also. Highly recommend this Best Western!

We had booked two nights at your hotel because of the reviews from Trip Advisor!!!. Everything was wonderful until we tried to sleep on your horrible beds with really bad sheets. I didn't sleep all night long. I checked out after one night and was fortunate to find a place at the Grand Canyon. I have traveled all over this country and Europe and I must say you win the award for the worse mattress EVER! It's sad because everyone at the hotel was so nice. The food was excellent, the view was great. But people check into hotels to sleep. Your mattress was so bad I couldn't even sit on it without it hurting my back. For this reason alone I don't believe we will ever stay at a Best Western ever again. Please for the sake of getting repeat business put some money into something that people can sleep on!!!!!

Room Tip: Sit on the bed before you check in.

We chose this hotel based on previous stays with Best Westerns. We got a great rate on the Internet because we stayed 2 nights. The hotel is located up on a hill away from the road which provides a nice setting in a treed area. The lobby is nice and the fireplace large. The steakhouse and lounge were closed for our entire visit due to the days we were there (Sunday/Monday ). The front staff was friendly, as well as the waitstaff in the breakfast dining room. Which , by the way , provided excellent service and a nice hot or cold breakfast. Food was plentiful and freshly cooked. Staff even was prompt to bus tables. It was nice to be able to have real plates and silverware as well as mugs for coffee (to go cups were available as well).
Now for the room. I think they gave us an older room because we paid a cheaper rate. Upon entering the room, there was a weird smell (kind of like mothballs or musty). I opened the window to air out the room as I figured the hotel may not have opened the room in a while . Later, we discovered that the carpet was wet by the bathroom door and closet. It wasn't a huge deal as we were gone to t he grand canyon the next day, and weren't going to be in the room except to sleep the next night as well. So in the morning, I let the staff know about the wet carpet and he said he would put a fan in there during the day to dry it out. I thought they would offer us a new room, but not a big deal-- as I said above. Anyway, we got back that evening only to find that our key cards had been deactivated and we had to go to the front desk and get them to work again.
The carpet was dry when we finally got into the room, although, I think there is an issue with this that needs to be resolved quickly.
We did enjoy our stay overall.
