Clean camp ground with good snow clearing and the train to Grand Canyon is awesome. Take the parlor car it is amazing.

We stayed here simply because we wanted to go on the train to the Grand Canyon. Having said that, we were pleased that the site was spacious and clean. We got there late so unfortunately on the first night we didn't have the code for the shower/laundry room - so had to rely on someone else coming out when we wanted to get in! The restrooms are clean and well lit.

Overall I'd say it's a moderately priced site, well organised and perfect for the railway trip. We loved that we were right near the track!

Quite a few people asked us the whereabouts of the office though - or mistook the shower block for the office, so they might want to improve their signage!

We stayed two nights in May while we visited the Grand Canyon. The park is relatively new (tiny trees) and spotless. Great staff and well organized. Large secure bathrooms with clean showers. Didn't use the laundromat, but it looked nice. The one downside was that there were no picnic tables at the individual sites, but there is a covered group bbq area with tables available. We left our dog at the kennel while we took the train to the canyon and it was very clean and spacious. It is located at the railroad, so you do hear trains. We like that sound so it didn't bother us. We would definitely stay in the rv park next time we're there but would never set foot in that awful buffet restaurant again (see my hotel review).

We stayed for 5 days in mid January. There was still about a foot of snow on the ground throughout Williams but the park was well plowed and there was easy access for our 40 ft. motor home.
We realized after we had taken a look at some of the other RV parks in town this was the only park that had been plowed and was clean, clean, clean. The laundry facilities were very new and
convenient. We had full hook-ups and Wi-Fi. This place has a great package for riding the railway to the south rim of the Grand Canyon and we took it. Beautiful pool and spa at the nearby hotel for our use. They even have a kennel for your pets should you need it. We would stay again in a heartbeat!

We decided to spend our Thanksgiving holiday in Williams, Arizona this year. We arrived late on a Wednesday night, after the office/store was closed, and they had our name and space number listed on the door. After finding the space and setting up, I went to the Grand Canyon Railway Hotel front desk to get keys to the restrooms and pickup our train tickets for the next day. I was very pleased that they had everything waiting on us. The restrooms and showers were exceptionally clean. The spaces are close to each other, but full hook ups, (electricity, water, sewer, and Cable) make up for that. Gas grills and fire pit are available for all to use.

When we awoke Thanksgiving morning, we found 2 inches of snow on the ground. This made for a beautiful walk to the trian depot and a georgeous ride to the Grand Canyon aboard the trian. The RV park was within walking distance to Route 66, Safeway, many restaurants, and stores filled with all kinds of indian crafts, souvenirs, and Route 66 memorabilia. The RV Park has a nice playground for kids, a nice basketball court, horseshoe pits. The office is also a store with the necessities, even though there is a Safeway right across Route 66.

The only thing I really didn't like was the freight train at all hours of the night. The RV park is right next to the train tracks which will way you up not only by the sound, but also by your RV moving.

  • Liked — Cleanliness, friendliness, wireless internet, and full RV hookups. Convenience to downtown.
  • Disliked — Closeness fo rv sites, and proximity to train tracks (trains in middle of nite)

Our first experience with an RV park was at GC Railway RV Park. The park was clean and well maintained and the staff were great and there are a lot of nice restaurants within walking distance. We left our dogs at the dog hotel one day. It was also clean and well maintained. Took the railway to Grand Canyon - very entertaining and a fun trip to and from. We would recommend this RV park to anyone visiting the Grand Canyon/area.

  • Liked — Very clean RV Park
  • Disliked — walking trails for dogs were rocks - hard for our little dogs to walk on

We picked the dead of winter (Dec 26 to Dec 30, 2006) to try out the brand new Grand Canyon Railroad RV Resort. Even with 2 winter snowstorms hitting us during our 4 day stay, we enjoyed ourselves immensely. The park is laid out well. The streets are easy to negotiate with long RVs. There are "buddy spaces" so you can travel with friends and open awnings facing each other. All the immenities are there and working. The pictures online dont do it justice. It is better then the photos for a change! Fantastic clean, fresh bathrooms and laundry, nice outdoor BBQ area and awning, with a big pit style fire pit. This place is so new that they haven't bought the picnic tables for the sites but they are on the way. If you have pets you are going to love the special accomodations including cat apartments! Wild!

My only complaint is the pool and jacuzzi are located at the hotel which is quite a hike but they have a shuttle to take you there. I hope they consider a separate pool/jacuzzi for the RV resort in the future.

Dont forget the train ride to the Grand Canyon. Take a package tour and allow yourself a few days to see it all. We will go back in fairer weather for sure! This will be a multi visit RV resort for us. Worth the trip!
