We decided to spend our Thanksgiving holiday in Williams, Arizona this year. We arrived late on a Wednesday night, after the office/store was closed, and they had our name and space number listed on the door. After finding the space and setting up, I went to the Grand Canyon Railway Hotel front desk to get keys to the restrooms and pickup our train tickets for the next day. I was very pleased that they had everything waiting on us. The restrooms and showers were exceptionally clean. The spaces are close to each other, but full hook ups, (electricity, water, sewer, and Cable) make up for that. Gas grills and fire pit are available for all to use.
When we awoke Thanksgiving morning, we found 2 inches of snow on the ground. This made for a beautiful walk to the trian depot and a georgeous ride to the Grand Canyon aboard the trian. The RV park was within walking distance to Route 66, Safeway, many restaurants, and stores filled with all kinds of indian crafts, souvenirs, and Route 66 memorabilia. The RV Park has a nice playground for kids, a nice basketball court, horseshoe pits. The office is also a store with the necessities, even though there is a Safeway right across Route 66.
The only thing I really didn't like was the freight train at all hours of the night. The RV park is right next to the train tracks which will way you up not only by the sound, but also by your RV moving.
