“Like a dream in the middle of the desert”
Reviewed May 22, 2013

Okay this was my first time in this area. And so if you are like me and have no idea what the area is like...its kind of like touristy-souvenir shops and motorcycles.

I specifically thought we should come to Red Raven after reading the reviews here. And its a delightful suprise. Almost like a twilight zone episode. From the outside it doesnt look much different than any of the other places. But once seated for about 2 minutes. It hits you.

This is a fine food establishment...They pamper you, also. I was wearing cropped pants and a tank top with sandals and had been driving from Vegas--My friend ordered the lamb it came with a salad and bread. I had the mahi mahi and it was fresh as in like flown in today.

The dessert list is also unbelievable. We never do dessert but we did here.

I had chocolate gelati.

If you drink wine they have a nice list.

They dont allow kids there...that may be part of the allure. Go here!

“One chance to impress- missed”
Reviewed May 21, 2013

We were told it was the best restaurant in town! I was planning to have my 50th birthday dinner there. We walked into the restaurant, which is a very small dining room with a bar at the back. We saw only a bartender back at the bar mixing drinks, no hostess or waitress. We stood there at the door and waited. The bartender saw us but did not acknowledge us in any way. We stood there longer, still no greeting from the bartender, who was well aware of us and seemed to be intentionally avoiding eye contact. We stood there another minute and still no greeting, waitress, or hostess. So we turned around and left. Never tried the food, never going back. Would it have killed him the guy to say "welcome folks, the hostess will be right with you" or "hi there, just sit anywhere and your server will be along soon" or anything? Guess it was too much trouble or just not his job. They lost about $150 that night in revenue, which is what we spent at the restaurant we eventually chose.

“Lamb cooked perfectly”
Reviewed May 18, 2013

We were glad we booked a table here. From our table in the window, we saw the disappointment on many faces when they discovered it was full. The food, wine, service and atmosphere ensured a v pleasant evening. It may be a tad more expensive than the average in Williams, but good value. We both had lamb...a lamb and Guinness casserole, and lamb brochettes. Both were cooked perfectly, as were the accompanying vegetables. With the meal comes a choice of soup (lobster bisque on this night) , or salad, and garlic bread.

“Great food, Good service, good value”
Reviewed May 17, 2013

The restaurant was full when we arrived, but fortunately a table was available for us within 20 minutes, so booking in advance may be necessary.
The owner and all the staff were very friendly, with just the right level of attentiveness.
The quality of food was really good and quite a wide choice. All the main course dishes come with a complementary soup or salad and bread, which makes this extremely good value. The Lobster and crab bisque was fantastic!
