“a brits idea of what small town usa should be like”
Reviewed September 24, 2012

Stayed in Williams overnight before joining grand canyon raliway - 2 main streets with shops and a few places to eat. The shops were great as they were sold route 66 memorabilia as well as other stuff like clothes, stetsons and some tourist items. Nice little town - with a sense of community spirit

“A nice littel town - AND Route 66.”
Reviewed September 22, 2012

Downtown Williams is an easy walking tour, mainly on historic Route 66, combining history and touristy kitsch. Fortunately for me, I like history, Route 66 and a certain amount of kitsch.
There are some interesting dining opportunities as well, and a at least one lodging that is neither the railway hotel nor out of the center of town.
The only problem I have with Williams is that it is not at the top of my favorite small Southwest towns - but is currently in the top 5.

“Old western Town”
Reviewed September 18, 2012

This town is on Rte 66, which was bypassed by the interstate-- thank goodness! The historic buildings and the history that is displayed on the sites is very informative and colorful. Would visit again, only more than overnite.

“Charming Little Place”
Reviewed September 7, 2012

Williams is very pretty, scenic, friendly. Try to catch the gunfight, especially if you have kids! We spent a few hours just walking up and down, looking at the charming shops. Don't miss The Singing Pig Restaurant - friendly folks, delicious food!
