Owner description: Located on a section of old Route 66, the Deer Farm is 10 acres of absolute animal wonderland. Walk a path around our park to view wallabies, llamas, mini cattle, bison, peacocks, & much more. Walk with deer, feed the deer right from your hands. Chat with a parrot, Mozart is a very entertaining cockatoo, Scarlet (a lilac crowned Amazon Parrot) a bit more shy, pet a goat, kiss a camel. You will have a blast here if you are an animal lover.

Even in freezing temperatures, the deer will come right up to you if they think you have food. And the dogs will run all the way around the place to get to a fence so you can pet them through the fence. Even the camel was really friendly, which in the experience of me and my companion is unusual - we are used to standoff-ish camels.
Now, fur with ice crystals isn't as soft as normal, but it was still neat to see so many deer (lunch?) come up to you to check you out, find out you ran out of food, then go about like you don't exist. There are also reindeer, elk, wallabys (including a albino), monkeys, and two very talkative birds. Be sure to talk to the birds.

Glad you enjoyed the Farm. The deer are very friendly here as they have been born & raised here. Their coats will soften when warmer weather comes and they shed their old winter coats and get their shiny new summer coats. Come again!

It's hard to find places that kiddos under the age of 10 can really participate in. The deers came up close and also were surprisingly gentle. It's not too pricy and there is no limit to how long you can stay so we made the rounds a few times and then came back in. The staff is nice and the grounds are very clean. I was overall impressed with the Grand Canyon Deer Farm and would by all means go back in a heart beat.

Our touring group of senior citizen photographers stopped here as part of a day trip to the Williams area. Many deer are free to roam about and only bothered you if you had the purchased cup of food for them. There was quite a variety of wildlife in well-maintained pens but definitely accessible for photographing. The staff was careful to keep the walking paths clear of deer droppings. The gift shop had many unique items at fair prices. It was a kick to see the little kids enjoying the animals. Young and old will enjoy the area.

My husband and I went to the Grand Canyon Deer Farm and had a great time. The monkeys are fun to watch. The deer are hiliarious! They will nudge & bump into you to get your attention if you have food! They will even grab onto your clothes. Don't wear anything too nice! Great time!

While they have a large variety of animals, by far the focus is on the deer. If you decide to purchase food to feed the deer be sure to keep control of the cup as the deer will try to take it away from you. The staff here were very nice and added insight to the understanding the animals and their habits.
