As Route 66 roadies, we were torn between several interesting choices for dinner in Williams one night in early May. We chose Cruisers because of the lively scene we saw there on the outside patio, and inside the Route 66 themed diner ...... and because we are also brewpub aficionados. So with the related Grand Canyon Brewery next door, this was a "two-fer" -- both a brewpub and a Route 66 hotspot at the same time.
We were not disappointed overall -- great Route 66 environment, with a nice gift shop attached. We both had the pulled pork sandwich/plate. Food was good, but not great (like you'd get at a specialized BBQ place). Service was okay, but not the best -- our server simply had more than he could handle (he was very busy) -- but no matter, we were not in a hurry to leave.
Altogether, we had a good time there, and would recommend to Mother Road travelers looking for a Route 66-era experience. We should also mention that we received some special attention from the owners, and were very nicely treated, when we inquired about brewpub souvenirs.
