By Motel 6 standards the size of our 2 Queen Bed room was palatial. Everything clean, no charge for dog or internet. Very good first impression. Then other guests began checking into rooms around us and things deteriorated. This building has the worst soundproofing of anyplace I have ever stayed. A door opening or closing anywhere within three rooms of us sounded exactly like someone was trying to enter our room. We could hear conversations from the rooms on either side as if we were part of the family. People walking around upstairs felt and sounded like an earthquake. It quieted down from midnight to 5 am while everyone was asleep, but the first person to get up and flush a toilet woke up the whole place. This was a roof over our heads and a place to lie down, but not restful.

We stayed at the Motel 6 West on our way to the Grand Canyon. We looked at hotels closer to the Grand Canyon itself, but (understandably) the closer you get to the canyon, the more expensive rooms are. The Motel 6 was very reasonably priced, and within a one hour drive from the South Rim of the canyon.

The room was average in pretty much every way, but with nothing to complain about. There were 2 queen beds, and plenty of room for us to set up our toddler's bed.

On the plus side, there was a pool and a hot tub, which our 11 month old loved. On the not-so-plus side, the pool and hot tub were in a separate building. We had to walk outside, through a thunderstorm, just to get there. Further, the pool/hot tub area is in need of maintenance, as it is quite run down. The pool and hot tub appeared clean, but the room was quite dingy and dark, with paint peeling everywhere.

One major drawback was the lack of an elevator. We were on the second floor, and had to carry all of our luggage up a flight of stairs to our room. After a long day on the road, this was not a welcome surprise.

The hotel has no breakfast, but offers free coffee in the mornings.

Overall, the Motel 6 Williams West was a comfortable place to spend the night on our way to the Grand Canyon.

Stopped overnight after an afternoon flight over the gRand Canyon. Needed someweher cheap and near the GC airport and Motel 6 in WIlliams fitted the bill. Take note - Williams has 2 Motel 6 places - I went to the "East" one when I arrived and was concerned it looked a bit grubby but was happy to find that I was at the wrong one and was indeed booked into the "West" one. Motel 6 West has clearly seen better days - the indoor pool and hot tub were deserted and looked a lot less glamorous than the pictures - having said that they still provided a relaxing half hour or so and are a bonus in low budget accomodation like this. Reception was quick and courteous. Rooms basic but functional and beds clean and comfy. The hotel is next to a large Safeway was handy and there are numerous gas stations in the town - both ideal for the road tripper! The town is built in a relatively straight line along the railroad and still attracts Route 66 travellers. The Grand Canyon railway depot, the rail yards and the main street with numerous bars, restaurants and shops give this town real character. As a "tourist" it feels like you're getting to see a bit of real "America". Motel 6 (West) provides a good value stop over offering the essentials and a perfect location for the walk into town.

Stayed at the Motel 6 on route 66, for one night, the staff who gave us our room was very nice. We couldn't check in so we ventured to the indoor pool, the reason why we stayed at this Motel. We quickly realized that pictures are not as they seem and we had made a mistake. The room was a Motel 6 room, below average, just enought to get by, bed was clean thank goodness. The shower felt that it was going to fall thru the floor and the towels were just big enough to cover one side of my body(I'm not a large person). The air conditioner was ice or off and noisy. If your looking for a good price, this is it but not for the atmosphere.

We arrived late and left early so didn't spend that much time in the hotel. But the Room was clean and beds comfortable.

Good location for visiting the Grand Canyon, about an hour drive with no traffic.

Would recommend as hotels closer to National park is a lot more expensive.
