Our tour package included meals, which were served at the Grand Depot Cafe. The meals were served buffet style. There was a nice selection at dinner and breakfast.

It was an average breakfast buffet, nothing to write home about. Typical. There's a little home cooking restaurant on the corner after the depot that has good breakfast!

I had heard (from an employee) about the restaurant re-opening and it was supposed to be great. After standing at the hostess stand for a 2 minutes, a woman finally broke away from chatting with another employee to come over to us. I asked her if we could look at the buffet first because we had not been there before. She said yes, and that the desserts were in the back. I'm not sure why, because seeing the desserts is a big part of the buffet experience. Well what a disappointment. There was hardly any food at all. Good thing we looked first. Small salad bar, a couple of unappetizing looking vegetables,(corn and green beans, I think) mac and cheese, and a couple of types of meat. (2 of us are vegetarians) That's it! At $13.00 each, we expexcted lots more than that to choose from. Of course we left. Went to Pancho's and got more food for less money and it was delicious. Will never attempt to eat at the Grand Depot Cafe again.

We had the meal package as part of the train and hotel package. It's buffet style with waiters bring the drinks and dessert after you get seated. Pasta station was pretty good. There is enough to eat with vegetables and salads. Long wait time for made to order omlete. Seemed clean, too many unsupervised kids running around, but then blame the parents for that one. Waitress/ hostess staff did not make it plain that there were two identical lines going,That caused a lot of confusion for those of us there for the first time ( which were most of us by the looks of things). Staff was busy and hard working.
