“Grand Canyon”
Reviewed November 5, 2012

I recently traveled by car from Fort Worth Texas to Williams Az and stayed at the Grand canyon rail hotel. The booking included rail service to the canyon, room and meals.
Our train coach was the last two car's on the train. A deluxe top viewing car and a parlor car. The service on the train was outstanding and a lot of fun. Once we arrived at the depot at the grand canyon we were taken to the south ridge of the canyon by motor coach. The sites were breathtaken and the service great. Once we returned to the hotel everyone was so friendly and helpful, two special ladies, Sherry on the train and Debbie at the ticket office, service like I haven't received anywhere else while traveling. Our meals were simply outstanding. Lots of choices and loads of tasty foods. On a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being the best, I would have to grade this vacation an eleven!!

“A Classic Depot PLUS!”

Great atmosphere for tourists and a great gift shop. Food available, at the Depot Cafe, next door.

Wish car parking were a little closer for elderly people.

“A cut above the average RR station.”
Reviewed September 22, 2012

While we weren't in time to see it, they do a western shootout to entertain crowds, and the gift shop is unusually good for a rail-oriented shop outside of a museum. A nice thing for us was the opportunity to photograph the old steam locomotive in action - we missed riding the train with it by one day. Probably the best aspect of the depot is it's cleanliness and combination of old and new.
My wife and I particularly liked the fact that it was a fairly short walk from the depot to our lodging in the downtown area.
