I bought the package that included meals on the train and at the hotel. It also included the Grand Canyon bus tour. The hotel and food package was a good deal, but they were not anything impressive. We skipped the last meals due to the lack of service, music, lines and not very impressive food choices. I'm in my forties and I didn't know any of the VERY dated songs that they played. The Grand Canyon tour was not good due to our group and guide. The people on the tour would not get back to the bus on time. We spent too much time waiting around.I wish we would have just walked or taken the free shuttles. Our guide also drove the bus so we didn't hear much about the canyon.
If you are bringing small children, your parents and/or grandparents, this would be good for them. The super slow speed of everything and bland food is easy to make it through without much effort. The fastest speed for the train is 45 miles an hour.

Good way to see the Grand Canyon without staying in the park. Staged entertainment is a bit cheesy but well intended and it kills some time on the slow journey from Williams into the park. Bus tour is good.
