Cross country trip

Very nice train to the Grand Canyon.

Pros: Dont have to drive, scenery, attendant was fun and informative

Cons: Everyone wants a tip. singers, wild west robbers, attendant, etc. tip, tip, tip. And if tou have teenagers arpund you in the adult only car- good luck being able to here your spouse next to you.

Stress free way
Review of: Grand Canyon Railway Adventure Package

We booked a dome car for our ride into the national park and coach seats on the way back. Our group of 5 really enjoyed the ride there and the hassle free way to get to the park. We also booked the bus tour as well and it took us to a few of the highlights.

A great thing to do as a family!!!
Review of: Grand Canyon Railway Train Tickets

My husband, 5 year old son, and I rode the Grand Canyon Railway to and from the Grand Canyon during our family vacation and it was definitely one of the highlights of our trip!! This family oriented train ride is great for those with children. The entertainment was fun and Donna (our passenger service attendant) was fantastic. I would highly recommend this excursion if traveling to the Grand Canyon!!

Fabulous
Review of: Grand Canyon Railway Train Tickets

Traveled on the caboose the “chief” and totally enjoyed the delightful ride up and back in the fantastic car. The morning and afternoon snacks were terrific and choice of cocktails was fabulous. Would do it all over again.

Chose upgraded car
Review of: Grand Canyon Railway Train Tickets

We chose the Pullman thinking the fresh air and open windows would be nice. I would recommend you upgrade to the air conditioning on the return trip. It was pleasant in the morning but very hot on the afternoon return. The entertainment was very little for the Pullman and there were no microphones so you could not hear over the noise of the train. The Pullman was nice for families to sit together and children seemed to enjoy it, but next time I would upgrade to a little more comfortable car. If you are hoping for lots of scenery you will be disappointed, not much to see except a few cows.
