What fun! The train trip is amazing with so many fun touches. The scenery is not spectacular until you get to the canyon but the trip is comfortable and the entertainment enjoyable. From the cowboy shoot out to the western singer and sheriff prowling the carriages every effort was made to entertain. Its tacky and plays deliberately on stereotypes but that's the fun and everyone is in on the joke. There were refreshments provided throughout the trip, Pam the car assistant was attentive and interesting and even gave us all a little glass of champaign on the way beck. The mock robbery by cowboys who chased the train down on horses completed the trip in great style. Full marks.

Found this train ride to be a little on the hokey side. The pre-boarding and on-train entertainment is a little kitschy/corny although the guitar player was very professional and had original tunes; he was by far the best of the bunch. And who needs someone trying to take your picture to sell you a copy when everyone is already taking selfies. The best thing about this train is the scenery but sometimes the “entertainment” diverts your attention to what we came to see or to simply enjoy a conversation with family and friends.

We booked the trip from the Uk before travelling to USA.
It stated;First Class,Spread out with over-sized seats, big windows, bar service, and complimentary snacks in the morning and afternoon.
So i paid nearly $600 for first class for 2 and hotel option.
Got everything bar the big window!!
We travelled with another couple so booked 4 seat by a table, on arrival were allocated seats in the Coconino coach i had seat 01B my wife 01A.
Everything was fabulas bar the view as we did not have one!!! all we had was a divide between large windows only the person sat next to the window could see out.
This spoiled the trip for us.

The train is a great way to beat the crowds. It is comfortable and the guides do a good job of explaining what is coming up. The bus at the top is a great way to get to various scenarios. But, skip the buffet meal at the top -- it's barely edible.

We had an amazing time, Brian was our host. The entertainment was amazing and we loved the songs that were played. The seats were so comfortable. One couple sitting across the aisle accidentally went to the coach car and they said coach was very cramped and not as comfortable. If you book the tickets to go there and back, keep in mind that 3 hours at the park is not a very long time. We had gone to the park on Friday and Saturday, our Rail trip was on Sunday. If we had just visited using the train we wouldn't have had enough time to see everything. The snacks and beverages on the car were very good and we just really enjoyed ourselves!
