“Way to see it”
Reviewed April 3, 2014

We read in our guide to stop at Williams and do a day trip to Grand Canyon very recommended. We took the expensive trip in the dome, 21/2 hours to go 3 hours on the site 21/2 hours to come back. Good service on the train food, coffee, tea was good. Bring you water bottle it is filled on site they do not sell water bottle. Walking the south rim is a ver good experience, well explained on the train.

“Fun time for family”
Reviewed April 2, 2014

We had our grandchildren with us and thought they would enjoy the train ride. It was a great experience but a long ride without a lot to see. It's a little over 2 hours. They have a singer come through and entertain, which was a little annoying when a little one was trying to sleep. They have a really good group of cowboys who are entertaining. It was nice for the first time to Grand Canyon.

“Our Grand Canyon Trip”

They treated us like Royalty. We were in the dome car, and they provided us with food both on the trip going and coming back. Great views and our hostess was the best.

“Best Way to Visit Grand Canyon”
Reviewed April 1, 2014 via mobile

The railway is an outstanding way to travel to the Grand Canyon. We traveled with 3 kids (aged 4-7) in coach (which was very reasonably priced compared to other historic trains we've been on). Comfortable seating (we fit the 3 small kids on one bench seat & two adults on another). I honestly wouldn't upgrade to a fancier car as the coach class was entirely wonderful-large picture windows, good seats, a large bathroom in our car & excellent service. Our attendant in the car (Caleb) was top-notch. He was knowledgable, professional, fun, and all around enjoyable. He gave us useful recommendations for when we arrived in Grand Canyon Village & his recommendations proved to be accurate. The photographer (Joshua) was also very skilled & friendly. He got all 3 of our kids to smile big and delivered us a memorable photo package. Literally, every single employee we came into contact with was outstanding!

This is a wonderful way to visit the Canyon as it takes away the parking hassle and provides an additional fun experience, especially for families. You won't get views of the Canyon while on the train but it literally drops you off right at the rim of the Canyon & you have several hours to eat and gaze at the beauty. This was my 3rd visit to the Canyon & the train ride was the coolest way to experience it all. Our attendant told us much of the history along the route & pointed out all the interesting things we would have likely missed otherwise.

The Wild West show before boarding in the morning was playful, humorous & overall well done. The kids especially liked getting a picture with a horse and cowboy! The special scene that's acted out while on board on the return trip was also entertaining and great fun for kids. The live musicians on board the train were a really special touch as well. One of the musicians was so good we bought his CD. Literally, there was so much entertainment for the money, it's so worth it!

Make sure you arrive on time because they seem to stick tightly to the departure schedule, which was great. We never felt like we were sitting around waiting unnecessarily.

An absolutely enjoyable experience and a memorable way for families (or anyone!) to travel to the Grand Canyon.

“Wondeful way to travel to the canyon”
Reviewed March 30, 2014

Enjoyed a western show before the train departed. Our "train guide" was full of information and trivia about the area. We were entertained by a very talented banjo player and "robbed" by the Cataract Gang Outlaws that had entertained us earlier at the western show! Of course the US Marshal rescued us all. Met lots of nice folks during the trip.
