Weekend trip to Grand Canyon. Booked thru AAA. Great deal didn't have to worry about anything. Just show up and enjoy. Great weekend. Nice pub in hotel. Food is ok. Nothing fancy but good. Close to town for entertainment and other restaurants. Would defiantly recommend and would come again

we enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The beds were really comfortable, with nice bedding. We had a suite with a real door between the two rooms. Our only complaint is that the suites and handicapped rooms are very far from the elevators and a very long walk. Also it has many corridors and was quite confusing. The staff was friendly and helpful. The buffet next door was good for breakfast, less quality at dinner. If you got the fresh pasta, you could get just what you want. Right across the parking lot was a Dollar General supermarket, so you could get your own food to put in mini fridge. We enjoyed our whole stay, train to Grand Canyon and all.

Room Tip: If you can't walk far, ask for room close to elevators. Our party had several rooms, quite far...

We had wanted stay at the hotel because we thought it evoked a nostalgic setting. It is a more modern hotel. It is very clean and environmentally friendly. Checked in at 8pm and out first thing in the morning to catch the train ride to the Canyon. So can’t comment on the other facilities other than the cafe. The cafe offers a buffet breakfast which included an omelet station (price of breakfast was extra). Forgot to mention upon check-in the group ahead of me were treated like royalty as the (older) woman at the counter was really informative about the park. When I checked in she was courteous, but just gave my my room cards and train tickets. I suppose it was because I didn’t take the first class package.

Stayed here 2 nights while we were taking the train to the Grand Canyon. The room was nicely decorated and the bathroom recently remodeled. There was a mini fridge too. We were tired from a whole day of travel so we were thrilled with the accommodations. All we needed. The pool and spa looked inviting but we had no time with all our plans. The pub was lively and the drinks good. It was a very enjoyable place to stay. The Buffett is across the parking lot, as well as the train depot and Wild West Show. The gift shop is nice. I DID buy a hat, and my husband bought a hat and backpack. Don't overlook the sack lunch you can order for the train ride. We saw order forms in the pub. Also...Williams is a lovely little Route 66 town. I'd have planned an additional day had I known. All in all, the GC Railway Hotel is as good as it gets up in this region. Clean, comfortable, convenient.

Room Tip: We traveled in May. Our room was too warm with the sun shining in the afternoon. Cool it down before...

Stayed two nights at the hotel as part of the train package. Witnessed disgusting mannerisms by a couple of travelers which set the tone. Now this was no fault of the hotel, but led to a lack of confidence in regards to cleanliness. The dinner that was included at the depot rest. was below average, the selection was not good. The food was dry or worse undercooked. The breakfast buffet was excellent! The omelet station and choices did not leave you going away hungry. The second night at the hotel, after returning from the canyon, we discovered our room was not clean (this was the same room that the filthy couple stayed in two nights prior). The refrigerator was filthy, and you could tell the overall appearance was less than clean. We contacted the front desk and had to make an additional call an hour later to finally get a different room. The wifi connection was hit and miss. The cost of the package I would expect a better experience. If you are looking for average, then this is the place for you. I believe they can do better.

Room Tip: The rooms near the courtyard have a better wifi reception. The dinner buffet does not offer a very...

This is our second stay at the Grand Canyon Railway hotel and we would stay here again. The rooms are clean and spacious, with lots of outlets which are always in high demand in our family. We were not in a renovated room but you wouldn't know it, they all look very nicely kept up. It is right smack in the center of town so you can walk to several restaurants and enjoy the neat little town. Parking can be tricky as the lot is shared with the railway, but we lucked out both nights. Check-in was quick and easy and the staff are very knowledgable and helpful.

My only gripe is that our TV was broken the entire time. It kept showing a red screen instead of the channel. I called a couple of times but no one ever came to fix it. The wi-fi is pretty slow but we were still able to stream a movie on the iPad for the kids at night.

Room Tip: Ask for a room near parking!

We stayed here for two nights. The place is really convenient if you want to take the Grand Canyon railway. It includes breakfast and dinner buffet. We did not get the newly remodeled room, but the room is pretty clean and decent. The pesto sauce at the buffet pasta bar is really good. The waiters were not too friendly though, maybe they were too tired. We liked our experience here...
