Earlier reviewers noted renovations in progress--these seem to have been completed as we found the hotel to be very nice, clean, attractively furnished, and fully functional. Management seems very focussed on customer service and were quick to help with our needs. We travelled to Williams on Amtrak, which got in at 4:00 am with a hotel reservation starting the coming day, but they immediately gave us an early check-in then and there. On departure day, we were allowed to stay until 9:00 pm, when the Amtrak left for home. We basically got two half days for free, which was much appreciated.

We got the 3 night package including a night in the park lodge, which was also extraordinary. The railroad trip was great too. Overall, an excellent trip and an excellent value.

We loved it. The staff were very helpful and the room was very clean. We did upgrade to a deluxe room. Very convenient.

Room Tip: We chose a deluxe room and was glad we did. Plenty of room and very clean. Staff was excellent.

We stayed at the hotel as part of a AAA Grand Canyon Railway package on Columbus Day weekend. Check in was prompt and efficient by a pleasant desk clerk. The hotel has completed their renovations and our deluxe room with fresh paint, carpeting, and bedding was very comfortable. The package included breakfasts and dinners which were your standard buffet fare. Far from gourmet but we enjoyed. In addition to the steam table selections, for breakfast there is an omlet/eggs cooked to order station. For dinner there is a carving station as well. All staff that we encountered were very pleasant in every department.

The hotel, bar, and restaurant (buffet style) were all very pleasant, clean and provide a great staging area for visiting the south rim of Grand Canyon National Park. There are several gift shops and a old Train Depot. We took the 2 hour train ride to the South Rim. We boarded the train a very short distance from the hotel. This is a great way (and gate way) to visiting Grand Canyon and we are recommending it to our friends.

Our room was very clean and nice. We only stayed one night, but we would stay there again. Accommodations were adequate although I didn't think much of the breakfast buffet.
