“Breakfast at the Horseshoe”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 6, 2013

Breakfast was excellent until... I ordered the Chicken Fried Steak with spicy home fries, the portions were good and the food was tasty. The service was just OK. We had to ask for coffee refills and they had forgotten about other drinks. We were ready for the bill and the waitress did not check with us before she went out front to smoke a cigarette. She came back in and started working without washing her hands. Oops, good thing we had already ate otherwise we would be walking out the door and going somewhere else.

“Great breakfast option”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 16, 2012

We had a great, if very traditional, breakfast here. The eggs were super fresh and the home fries were fresh and delicious. Toast was right from the mass produced supermarket bag.

Staff very friendly in an old school retro setting.

“Awful-don't go here”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 16, 2012

This was probably the worst lunch we have ever had. We wanted to eat at our favorite Wickenburg cafe, Twin Wheels Cafe, but they closed at 1 pm so we went across the street to the Horseshoe Cafe instead. It started out kind of fun with the old nostalgic decor and the staff was very nice. The seats are very sunken in but that made us laugh. Ordered a grilled cheese sandwich, husband had chili, and son had a ham and cheese sandwich. The chili came out like a pile of sticky brown glue, the grilled cheese was very burnt and had about 8 fries with it, and our son's sandwich was just a tiny plain old sandwich. A man at another table had a a burnt sanwich too and noticed that a couple leaving was talking to the owner about having a terrible breakfast and she told him it was on the house. She told him to come back again and they'd make it right. Seems like it was a bad day. Definitely don't go there for lunch-it's not worth it.

“Sunday breakfast run”

This place rocks. Deb is a blast, she makes you feel at home and if you get out of line she may just get her stick and adjust your attitude. Food was great. We will be back. Roy

“Best breakfast in Wickenburg”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 10, 2012 via mobile

I have eaten at the Horseshoe for over 20 years when my friends and family come in from all over the U.S. for our traditional dove hunt. The breakfasts are great with hearty portions of good breakfast comfort food. Try The chorizo omelet or the chicken fried steak. . . . The best!
