“Food was average, drink not good”
Reviewed March 11, 2013 via mobile

Service seemed to be good and food was average but the margarita was very weak and seemed watered down. Private booth option was nice.

“A Taste of Mexico”
Reviewed March 4, 2013

I've eaten here many times over the years and have never come away disappointed. The atmosphere and the music is lively. I've taken guests there many times over the years.

“What a treat.”
Reviewed March 3, 2013

I was visiting family in sun city west and they drove us to wickenburg as a day trip. I was looking forward to a Mexican meal. The service was good, the food was tasty, they bring a nice basket of chips and two kinds of salsa straight away. The price was reasonable.

“Hit or miss”
Reviewed February 25, 2013

We love this place and go there often. When we have guests, we always take them there. However, recently, it has sort of been hit or miss with both service and food quality. Recently we had family visiting from out of town. They had 2 teenage boys so we thought this would be good and plentiful! WRONG! The service was very slow, 3 of the orders were mixed up and one of the boys didn't get his food until AFTER we were done eating! Other tables around us were complaining also. We assured our guests that it wasn't usually this bad, but since that time we have encountered two additional unsatisfactory dining experiences.

The best thing going is their chips and salsa--by far the best around. So from now on, we'll just stick to drinks and appetizers there. Maybe a taco?? But definitely no more meals for us. Unfortunately, they seem to have gone down hill a bit in there food service.

“Worth a drive for great, authentic Mexican food”
Reviewed February 22, 2013

My parents winter in Sun City West and frequently drive up to Wickenburg to dine at Anita's as its such good food. We were traveling through and stopped on a Sunday evening for dinner. They offer 2 salsa's - med and hot - with their homemade tortilla chips. Both salsa's were good (the hot didn't burn out your tastebuds and was deliciously smoky) but the chips were the best - warm and crispy right out of the fryer. We had a pitcher of margaritas; very good. There were 4 of us; 2 spit a chimichanga and had PLENTY to eat. I can't imagine someone eating a whole one as they're huge. My husband had enchiladas and said they were very good. I had fajitas which were very good but then how do you screw up fajitas. I didn't eat any of the refried beans but the rice was really good - the short grain type you only get at authentic mexican restuarants. While the ambience isn't anything to write home about, we had a great waitress adn the food is definitely worth going back for. And its reasonably priced!
