After eating Mexican food, it's always good to follow it up with ice cream. It's our tradition, anyway. We stumbled upon the Chaparral after eating at Anita's Cocina around the corner, and what a find. It's a huge ice cream store with a wide variety of homemade ice cream to choose from.
The help was very friendly, but the topper was the live music. The shop has a small stage and on this particular day a lone country singer was entertaining us w/ his version of Johnny Cash. I had to tell him I had never been in an ice cream shop and listened to live music. His reply back was: "That makes two of us. I've never sang in an ice cream shop."
The ice cream and the music were a delight.
