“Absolutely most wonderful accommodations available in Wickenburg”

Katy Bee has created a most extraordinary and unique environment for "getting away". We startled a deer on our way down to the Hassayampa River. All the fresh fruit and homemade bread were wonderful in the mornings. Rancho Deluxe could be considered an absolute museum of cowboy and western Americana - except it's a lot more fun to vacation with Katy's collections than it would be just to look at them in a museum. Antiques, gently used furniture, and that magnificent kitchen sink! Don't let the entrance fool you - this slice of Wickenburg is solid gold.

Room Tip: Rancho Deluxe is choice for Old West memorabilia

Our 'welcome" was warm and friendly, from the fruit & wine to the chocolates by the bed. The room was peaceful and cozy with lots to take in from all the collectables to the wonderful books to read in the evenings. Loved the shower especially after a long day of riding 4-wheelers. The room as a wonderful place to come home to every night.

I checked into Rio Tierra and was blown away by how rustic and homey the bungalows were. The owner left us homeade bread, a bottle of champagne and a fruit basket. Every detail was well thought out and provided for. I loved so much the decor and comfort and will be back again to visit! Thanks for making my wedding extra special.

We loved our stay there. The owners are friendly, helpful, relaxed. They are perfect for the relaxing B&B. We stayed in the cowboy casita which had a huge collection of cowboy themed items. We had cowboy boots everywhere!!!!. It was so unique and welcoming and comfortable. Katy has collected cowboy, western and other items and the property is filled with fun things to look at. I've never stayed in a B&B like that and it was one of best!!!!

Room Tip: There are only 3 casitas and all are great.

Traveling To Sedona, my daughter and I rested for the night at "Rio Tierra Casitas" after departing California. The Rio Tierra Casitas are situated among cottonwood trees, willows, and lush bottomland with the scenic Hassayampa River only a short distance away that we enjoyed walking to after driving all day.

We stayed in MexiCasa. Katy and John, the owners and most gracious host, have decorated the casita with a Mexican theme using colorful tiles, artwork, furniture, and unique accessories, giving it a restful and cheerful feeling. Furthermore, it was super clean and fully equipped . . . even with a small library! After a wonderful nights sleep we enjoyed breakfast with fresh fruit on our private porch while listening to a variety of songbirds living among the flowers and foliage.

Needless to say, we were so pleased with our stay that arrangements were made for another nights stay during our return home to California a week later. Our two stops at Rio Tierra casitas turned our to be memorable highlights of our trip.

This fall I hope to return to Katy and John's retreat, spending a week of more just relaxing, reading, and enjoying the beauty of the plants and wildlife that live and surround the Rio Hassayampa.

Rio Tierra Casitas are a great alternative to a hotel/motel room. We stayed in Glo's Bungalow which was delightful with its fun vintage decor. The accomodations were well equipped, comfortable and spotlessly clean. Katy and John couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful hosts. We thoroughly enjoyed our week in this lovely escape and highly recommend it. It's THE place to stay in Wickenburg and we'd definitely return.

Rio Tierra Casitas, in particular Glo's Bungalow where I stayed for six weeks, was the perfect match for a woman north of 60 on her own. The house is roomy & airy, with plenty of light, a kitchen you can cook in comfortably, a good bed (no backaches!), and a fabulous shower. French doors from the bedroom to the porch, which overlooks a broad vista, provide a sense of enlarged space, without losing a cozy quality good for sleeping. Smart, witty details round out the package. Hosts Katy Bee & John were like the proverbial pillars of the Temple, close, but not too close. They provided everything I needed, from stuff to advice, even friendship and some trips, without being overbearing or cluckish! I felt safe and cared for, yet free to pursue my solitary interests. Spend some time here if you are looking for a real place with bright, interesting people at the helm.
