Three stars at best. Convenient to entrance of the Grand Canyon. Recommend you book a hotel inside Grand Canyon 8-12 months in advance (El Tovar). Positives of Red Feather: coffee, convenience, clean bedding/room, warm hot tub, friendly staff, nice parking lot. Negatives: hotel is dated, cold tiny pool, tasteless apples for breakfast, no tea or hot chocolate, small room, dirty carpet in the halls.

Red Feather Lodge has been a very good choice for us. Large, clean, nice room with everything you need (place to seat, write, plugs). It is really close to Grand Canyon activities (no need to stay inside the Park, indeed). Staying in Tusayan is very nice, since you can walk to good restaurants, find general stores and more. Two small details were not completely satisfactory. First the Wifi is free but really not performing (it is difficult even to read an email). Second at check in you never get a smile, not even by mistake: it is very professional, nothing to say, but not warm at all. We even checked that it was not a precise problem with us (this can happen nothing bad), but no: we looked at at least four groups arriving and, no, no smiles at all: it must be a policy... But, again, we have been very satisfied there.

The Red Feather Lodge has two options, the old motel that's in rough shape on the outside but has been updated on the inside and the Lodge. We looked at the original motel and decided to pay the extra and stay in the more modern hotel. The room we stayed in was clean, modern and pretty nice. The bathtub needed to be re-glazed on the bottom. There is no breakfast but there is free coffee and tea in the lobby all day long. They give you a10% off coupon for the restaurant next door.

The town on Tusayan has only 5 hotels and this was the one with the lowest price.

Room Tip: Stay on the top floor it's quieter !

If you are visiting the Grand Canyon, and need a place to fall asleep, this is the place. Decent value for money, and a place to be in at night. We were a family of four at Grand Canyon, and this met our needs.

They give you a 10% discount for a Mexican restaurant, it's a horrible place. Mexican is a favourite in our family, but we didn't take any more Mexican for the next 2 weeks in our US trip, after we visited this place.

If are visiting the Grand Canyon and traveling on a budget, this is a good option. Convenient and clean.
But whatever u do, don't eat in the restaurant next door,Plaza Bonita, I think it's part of the hotel. Worse Mexican food ever

The original Red Feather Lodge can be seen in photos, but not much of that is still around. It's a comfortable typical highway hotel. The staff were great to recommend options for dining in town. There were free postcards which I really appreciated!

I booked their motel rooms and they upgraded me to a nice hotel room on the 3rd floor. i stayed there for two nights, and I'm glad I chose this hotel cause it was very close to the grand canyon. A 10 minute drive. They didn't have breakfast but gave me a 10% off coupon for the Mexican restaurant next to them. Rooms were nice and clean.
They are a bit pricy though.
