“Best Western near Grand Canyon”
Reviewed February 15, 2013 via mobile

OK this is not 5 star luxury however, the rooms are clean have everything you need and the staff are really lovely. We ate in the restaurant both nights and the food was great (we did not have dessert though) we had Elk and Buffalo and the Elk in particular was wonderful. The hotel is only 1 mile from the entrance to the park and you can be at the entrance to the Grand Canyon village in 15 minutes or so. We would recommend this place and would stay again. We came in February and paid around $90 per night which we thought was excellent value for money. Breakfast is in the main building on the third floor and was buffet and had everything you needed. It was OK and is included in the price.

After a day driving through some of the best scenery in Arizona we came to this hotel, and it was the perfect end to a perfect day. Even though our on-line reservation was screwed up (they had the day before booked) they quickly made changes and got our party of 4 into very comfy rooms. It was Mardi Gras and the hotel bar had made local style "Hurricanes" which we test tasted for the bar tender and enjoyed very much...we ordered more! The pub food was good, not exceptional, but service was excellent. Very conveniently located near the Grand Canyon Park for more sightseeing adventures!

Dear Pat R.:

Thank you so much for writing and posting this nice review of our property here at the Grand Canyon.

We love to hear after a long day driving through our beautiful and ever changing landscape here in Arizona that when our guests arrive they find comfortable large rooms and are able to enjoy all the hotel has to offer at night from bowling, arcade games and fun in the sports bar or even a lovely, elegant dinner in our Coronado Room. Thank you for acknowledging the employee that made you feel relaxed and welcome while enjoying a new Mardi Gras drink . . . he’s so creative! We do enjoy a wonderful proximity to the park entrance and to the most magnificent Grand Canyon.

Again we thank you. Please come visit and bring your friends and family next time.

Sincerely,
Heather

We visit in the winter, so it grew dark very early. The hot tub and bowling alley was a good way to spent the evening. Complimentary breakfast was the SAME everyday..... got a little sick after a while. But it's free so oh well. At least the food was warm/hot and not straight out from the fridge.
Down side: We stayed at the annex section of the hotel, in order to go for breakfast everyday, we would need to put on our big coats and walk 3 min to the lobby in -20C. I guess in the summer would be no problem.

Room Tip: there's a coupon for the IMAX movie on the hotel map. We used it and saved almost $20 for our fa...

Dear Ching_Wa:

Thank you for composing and posting this review of our property here in the Town of Tusayan just outside the Grand Canyon.

You mentioned that night fall comes early here. It does in the winter come earlier than most think being at 7000 ft. in the Arizona Mountains. We have also had a good amount of snow causing it to be colder than normal. That short 2-minute walk from the outer buildings can be a bit nippy. However, with that said, it does have its advantages. It’s a treat to see snow on its crevasses and arroyos as the canyon shows its winter beauty instead of its summer glory.

Thank you and we hope you’ll stay with us if you’re visiting the canyon again.

Sincerely, Heather

We really did not have high expectations for a Best Western Hotel. This property is fantastic. Service was excellent the kind you would expect at Five Diamond hotels. Exceptional clean rooms. Free breakfast. Wow no gauging for internet service. And bowling in a hotel. Do not disappoint yourself and try to save a couple bucks staying somewhere.

It is very nice to be recognized and appreciated by our guests. And the employees are so appreciative hearing they provided good and knowledgeable service. We are blessed to be in such a conveniently located place as the Park's entrance is literally just two miles down the road to one of the most magnificent places on earth. We're a well kept secret that needs to be exposed.

Please visit again and bring your friends and family! See you soon.

This hotel features large spacious, nicely appointed and clean rooms at a very good price. Staff is very pleasant and accommodating. Hotel offers breakfast that was OK for the price (i.e., free) as well as a large in-room safe, WiFi, microwave and refrigerator. I have stayed in this hotel before and will continue to stay here next time we visit the Grand Canyon.

Our stay at the Best Western Premier Grand Canyon Squire Inn was a pleasant surprise. Because of the economical rate, my wife and I expected "run of the mill" accommodations. This establishment exceeded our expectations. The price was outstanding, the rooms were very large, modern and impeccably clean. The "fine dining" restaurant was truly a surprise. My wife and I had our 25th wedding anniversary dinner the previous evening in the "big city" at three times the price and found that the restaurant at this hotel was just as good. Especially the chocolate piano...really cool. The Inn is just a few minutes from the Grand Canyon and has many family oriented features including a bowling alley, family restaurant, and sports bar/restaurant, in addition to the aformentioned fine dining restaurant. Our family has stayed at countless hotels in over thirty countries, in six continents, and this gem is a very pleasant surprise. We will definately being staying here again and recommending the Best Western Premier Grand Canyon Squire Inn to family and friends.

Thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedule to compose and post this nice review of our property here at the Grand Canyon.

We were happy you enjoyed your stay but were sorry to learn the walk for you to the main building was so cold and heavy coats were necessary. We do experience cold, snowy and windy weather in the winter quite often but spring and summer are just around the corner. So come back.

Thanks again and hope you will stop in again if yo’re passing through Tusayan.

My sister and I checked into the hotel and were pleasantly surprised by how outstanding the rooms were. The pictures on their own website do NOT do them justice! The front desk clerk was very helpful, the bowling alley and pool table areas were fun! The free breakfast was great. The prices were great as well. Can't think of any negatives at all and will definitely stay here if we come to grand canyon again.

Room Tip: We chose a room on the first floor which was easily accessed in the 4000 block from the back and the...
