You can't beat the location, only minutes from the South entrance to the Grand Canyon. The laundry facility was great and the breakfast was better than expected (quite a few hot items, not just breads and cereals). But the rooms desperately need updating. The bath and room fixtures and furnishings are awfully sad. Clean, but worn and past due for updating.

Room Tip: In hindsight, I would have preferred a room connected to the main building and lobby, rather than a...

We stayed for two nights in October 2012. It was easy to find and check in was quick and easy.

In the lobby area there is a bar with a stunning log fire. Really romantic setting. There was also a sports bar with pool tables and another log fire. The food was quite cheap and delicious! The service was also really good and the people where pleasant. There where quite a few locals in the sports bar, which I think shows it's good quality and value. All guests where given complimentary breakfast during our stay. This was pretty basic, but still really tasty - and you can't complain for free. It consisted of fruit, pancakes, egg, toast, yoghurt and cereals. The fruit was really fresh!

Opposite the bar was a games area with arcade games and a small bowling alley. Great for kids to go in while you sit in the bar!!

There was a concierge desk who where helpful and we bought a ticket to get in the grand canyon national park for $25 per car. This lasts 7 days. The park was only a 10 minute drive away and once you get inside there's a free shuttle bus service.

The room was spot on. It had a fridge, tea and coffee facilities, comfortable clean beds, a safe (we where told that there was a charge of $1.50 (I think) but we didn't get charged), hairdryer and a tv. Down the hall there was a drinks and ice machine. The air con in the room was a bit loud but got the job done! There are also a few helicopters that go over doing trips to the grand canyon - some of these went over quite early in the morning but I think you couldn't avoid the noise no matter where you stay in the area. It wasn't too bad though. We did get to see some deer and elk around the area too - so keep your eye out! Also there was free wifi throughout the hotel. In our room there was a notice saying that it might be a bit slow because of the area but I thought it ran pretty well!

It was close to some fast food places, steakhouses and other restaurants such as Mexican food. All within walking distance.

I would recommend this hotel to a friend!!

The hotel catered for coaches of tourists and sometimes was very busy. Greated by friendly staff who proved to be helpful and courteous.
The room was large and everything clean.
The facilities were extensive; a busy bar with music, a games room and a bowling alley
There were many choices for Breakfast and it was the best on our trip.
We ate in the hotel trying the fixed menu deal and going à la Carte. Both were very good value. The cuisine was well prepared for flavour, texture and presentation. Also a good wine list.

The hotel have finally been able to secure a bit of bandwidth that they now offer their guests. Not perfect, but a major improvement. Its a problem that all the hotels in town face. I have stayed at the Squire Inn a lot this year. Its a well managed and operated property. The staff that I met are invested in their jobs and understand the value of good service. The dining room is surprisingly good quality for a tourist destination hotel and is my personal choice of evening dinner spots. Plan to take my wife and son back there for Christmas this year, weather permitting....

Best Western was pretty good. The hotel has a beautiful lobby with tourist info, stores, arcade, bowling alley, restaurant etc.

The room ( Double Queen ) was very neat and comfortable. wiFi signal was good and steady and the beds were pretty comfy.

Breakfast buffet had many options to choose from including a full on hot line.

Parking: Not so good. Even though we found one spot at 2am it was in the bus line and far away from our room. Definitely gets crowded here.

Location is very good. Right in the heart of Tusayan and just 15 minutes away from the Canyon.

Overall: Would definitely stay there again.

This was a one night stop on road trip. It was in a convenient location with good rooms and facilities. Took advantage of early bird dining option which was great value. The hotel is a little bland. The complementary breakfast was good but very busy and some items took a while to be refilled. But overall not a bad place to stop.

I don't think there was anything else we could ask for in this hotel. The rooms were great; beds were comfortable. It is located very close to the park entrance and there are only a half dozen other hotels in the area.

Restaurant in the hotel is a bit haughty, but does offer a $15 price fix meal, which was very, very good. This is an early bird, before 6:30 deal. Even prime rib was an offering.

The free buffet breakfast was massive. Had the usual along with yogurt and granola, which was a nice change to all the eggs and biscuits we had been eating. Breakfast room was crowded, but there were plenty of tables, so it was not an issue.

Picky Picky Picky....We are spoiled and love strong coffee. The K cup machines in the room are very modern, but do not allow one to make a strong enough cup. I know, that is so minor, and it is, but I did say we were picky.

Room Tip: Don't plan on getting gas in this town. One station, and it was about fifty cents a gallon more...
