“Nice suites for a good price”
Reviewed December 18, 2012

This hotel is very comfortable and the personnel is friendly. I stayed in one of the mini suites in the side building and had the best experience in a Holiday Inn so far. The price was very good as well. The furniture is made from local wood and quite unique. The style of the decoration is quite tasteful and I felt very comfortable. The pool in the main building and the big jacuzzi in the suite building were both pretty good. Breakfast was hot and well prepared. I had a great time overall and would definitely come back.

Room Tip: Stay in one of the mini suites to get some extra perks like a balcony and separate living room.

They have fridge and microwave in the room. WiFi was alright, not the best/worst. They serve breakfast but I'm not argue how good it's. Staffs were professionaland friendly. Check-in was fast. Looked lovely with holiday decoration. The lobby was cozy.

The 2 problem I encountered were the computer at the lobby not working too well and there weren't too many options for food in the neighborhood. They are on the pricey side, so was the grocery store.

My husband and stayed here for a week and we were satisfied enough. We stayed here last November 30 - December 6th. The hotel staff are very accommodating. The food was alright. No complains when it comes to our room, it's big, clean and the bed is so comfy. We would love to go back here someday soon. The hotel is also surrounded with restaurants and gift shops. It's very close to Grand Canyon National Park and other tourist attractions.

We recently spent a night at the Grand Canyon Holiday Inn Express and felt it was a good choice. We were given a room upgrade with our priority club membership and had more room than we knew what to do with at a very reasonable price. Our room was comfortable and its proximity to the South Rim entrance was very convenient. The provided breakfast was predictable but good, and we took a few extras with us to snack on during our sightseeing. Traveling in this area at this time of year is wonderful as we felt we were the only ones touring, which is probably very unusual at such a popular place.

I stayed at the H.I.E. from Nov. 30-Dec. 2, 2012 during a trip intended to paint at the Grand Canyon. Its location (1 mile south of the South Rim entrance) could not have been more convenient short of staying in the Park itself. The staff was accommodating, friendly, courteous, personable and helpful. The room was wonderful: clean, great bed, good shower, amenities were great. i had a mini fridge and microwave in the room which were helpful. There was a coffee maker but with coffee available in the lobby almost round the clock I did not need it. Their stellar above the ordinary breakfast buffet was great. They have a lot more than a continental breakfast would imply (including bacon!). My stay was great. I woudl absolutely recommend this place.

The only less than perfect aspect of the stay was the wifi and the TV. The TV which had some HBO and a modest array of channels but the remote I had, had buttons (including sleep timer) that either did not work or were not programmed to work. The wifi was tough and I spent a lot of time trying to fix my laptop only to find on the last day, in the lobby (when printing my boarding pass) I saw a notice apologizing for the wifi as the entire area suffers from a lack of bandwidth which the businesses as a whole are seeking to amend with several possible providers. There is an indoor pool and spa which i did not have enough time to take advantage of. The hotel is within walking distance of a several restaurants, a Wendy's, A McDonalds and a general store.

These days we love Holiday Inn's, the nice rooms....those cinnamon buns etc......but this one.....not so much. This location was outdated, and no buns.....and the long distance phone charges were very very very expensive......if you can email from your computer or use the one in the lobby.
The desk clerk was very friendly and the room was clean. This was our third trip to the Grand Canyon and our first stay at the Holiday Inn. Staying close to the Grand Canyon, I suppose the hotels don't need to remodel given the demand for the rooms as they are. In the end it didn't really matter, we were there to be at the Grand Canyon, but we won't be back to this hotel on our next trip in a couple of years.

This hotel was a great value. We wanted to be close to the canyon for convenience of our 1 day trip and found this hotel offering a great rate. Check in was quick and we were given an upgrade easily with our priorityclub status. We ended up with a family room that was so well laid out I wish we had a longer time to enjoy it. Though the room was tired in places, it was comfortable and clean. Breakfast in the morning was the average and adequate continental breakfast at most hotels of truism sort. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
