“Well layed out historic park.”
Reviewed August 1, 2013

The lady inside was a fount of information, very friendly and easy to talk with. Nice gifts, and nice map to look at as you went through. The school was fun to look through and the underground fort and museum was fun as well. Both the houses and the art museum were a tad bit creepy, though I don't know why. It's well lit in there. Tiny bit weirded out, we continued to enjoy the grounds. Lots of photo ops. Fun if it's not too hot.

“Important chapter of Arizona History”
Reviewed May 17, 2013

You must visit this wonderfully preserved chapter of Arizona history. This site used to be run by the state, now it is run by local volunteers and they are doing a great job of preservation and information. Don't miss it if you are in the Tucson or Tubac area

“Southern Arizona history comes to life at Tubac”
Reviewed May 11, 2013

Tubac Presidio is a surprisingly well kept historical site, with very welcoming staff and docents, and lots of interesting things to learn about Arizona's past. Take the time to stop in. Along with a visit to other historical sites nearby, you'll find that there is much more to Arizona than the Grand Canyon, Sedona and Scottsdale!

“Great day trip!”
Reviewed March 9, 2013 via mobile

A great afternoon trip. I spent a couple of hours walking around as I was limited on time. I enjoy taking pictures of architecture and found lots of great photo opportunities.

“Very intersting - even without the Presidio”
Reviewed January 31, 2013

Although the actual Presidio is no longer standing, the Visitor Center, Museum, and Excavation Exhibit are all very well-done and interesting. The staff were very friendly and informative. The modest admission fee ($5 in 1/13) was a bargain. I spent about an hour here and learned about the history of the Presidio and the area. Close to the highway and well worth the visit. (And, if a visitor is so inclined, there is a substantial number of shops with a wide variety of crafts, art, jewelry, souvenirs, etc in the town of Tubac.)
