“Great day trip!”
Reviewed March 9, 2013 via mobile

A great afternoon trip. I spent a couple of hours walking around as I was limited on time. I enjoy taking pictures of architecture and found lots of great photo opportunities.

“Very intersting - even without the Presidio”
Reviewed January 31, 2013

Although the actual Presidio is no longer standing, the Visitor Center, Museum, and Excavation Exhibit are all very well-done and interesting. The staff were very friendly and informative. The modest admission fee ($5 in 1/13) was a bargain. I spent about an hour here and learned about the history of the Presidio and the area. Close to the highway and well worth the visit. (And, if a visitor is so inclined, there is a substantial number of shops with a wide variety of crafts, art, jewelry, souvenirs, etc in the town of Tubac.)

“Well-maintained and informative”
Reviewed January 30, 2013

Ably staffed by a crew of local docents and volunteers who refuse to allow budget constraints to close Arizona's oldest state park. Informative walking tour with excellent displays recapping the history of the oldest European settlement in Arizona.

“A Happening Place in a Unique Historic Venue”
Reviewed December 22, 2012

Besides the significant exhibits and sites, the Presidio program offers a variety of events, fine art exhibits, tours, concerts, raconteur presentations, literary and book events to name but a few. There's something for everyone. Very fairly priced considering event fees include admission to tour the Presidio Park. Two for the price of one. Amazing what inspiring leadership and a dedicated group of citizen volunteers can accomplish! The professionalism of it all. A must see and do place when in this part of the Sonoran Desert.

“Very Interesting easy self guided”
Reviewed December 7, 2012

It has alot of history in this self guided tour. But thetour books they let you use are very well written and easy to read. I think young children would get bored pretty quick. But adults who appreaciate history will find it interesting.
