“Earliest seat of government & well done museum”
Reviewed June 14, 2012

Whether it is a special event or not, the Presidio is a great look into the history of government in southern Arizona. The museum is good and the old school house often has activities. Well worth an hour or two in the artist town of Tubac.

“Interesting Southern AZ History”
Reviewed April 12, 2012

A very good presentation of southern AZ history at a reasonable price. There is some outdoor walking involved around the area.

“Historic park part of historic artist colony”
Reviewed March 27, 2012

Tour of Presidio is interesting and central to early Spanish influence in AZ. Near the Presidio is the Anza trail, which is a pleasant walking trail that once stretched from Nogales, AZ to San Francisco, CA, in Spanish colonial times. And, of course, don't miss the historic town of Tubac which is now home to many excellent artists and artisans. Enjoy!

“Ignore the Art visit this Gem”
Reviewed March 27, 2012

Before you get exhausted trailing around all the identical Arts and Crafts shops visit the Presidio first. You will enjoy it.
Delightful pleasant staff who are very helpful. Watch the brief video and then take a leisurely tour around the sight. Visit the underground excavation room - fascinating.
If the “Cavalcade of History” art exhibit is still on (possibly only March) this is a must to see.
This is a very relaxing site to visit, guided tours are available or stroll around the site at your own pace.
Visit the school house and read the 'behaviour rules' amazing.
A simply enjoyable 90 minutes spent in the middle of all the commercialism of Tubac - A Must
