We really got here by accident, but what a happy accident. Driving from Chinle (which really felt like Ulan Baator, which is not God's own city) we were not expecting much. But the Moenkopi really surprised us. Lovely rooms, service that was competent, professional and so good humoured. In the Moenkopi, the staff are actually having fun doing their jobs, and that makes every stay pleasant. I needed some letters posted - some very important - and as an Irishwoman, I find US postboxes very difficult to locate. But the people at Moenkopi took them and posted them, and they arrived on time. Also we were fortunate enough to be able to attend a very good presentation on the Hopi people, on their art, and on their culture.

It is worth making a special trip to Moenkopi, and to Hopi country even if it was not on your original agenda. This hotel is run by Hopi people for the benefit of their nation.

Room Tip: Ask for a room near the peaceful Kiva garden, and ask about its intention.

Coming from the Grand Canyon along Highway 160 toward Colorado, the desirable lodging choices are slim. The check in line was long at 8 p.m. on a Thursday, apparently all walk-ins (no reservations) and we were afraid we'd be stuck in one of the many run-down motels in Kayenta, so we were very pleased that they had available rooms at this new hotel. The rooms are clean and comfortable with upgraded furnishings. The Denny's next door was quite busy at 10 pm with locals towing several small children and that seemed strange for a school night. The breakfast at the hotel was very nice, scrambled eggs, potatoes, sausage plus continental type choices. I see other posts complaining about the breakfast, but we thought is was good and we would have paid at least $12 for the 2 of us over at Denny's.

In Tuba City they don't have many hotels to choose between, but this one was actually okay.
It is a bit overpriced, but I guess that "supply and demand" sets the prices and I would probably do the same.
I stayed in one of the suites on 3rd floor and it was a nice clean room.
The pool is very nice and I recommend to go for a swim :)
A fun thing about the city is that the hotel is in a different timezone than the rest of the city.

Room Tip: Suites on 3rd floor are good

Not only is it beautiful, but it was quiet though full, large rooms with plenty of amenities. The pool and hot tub looked wonderful, but we weren't there long enough to be able to use them. The breakfast was probably the weak spot, but it was included and we ate it. Had plenty to eat with both fruit, eggs, sausage, potatoes and a myriad of breaded carbs to choose from. Definitely worth the price. There's not much around town to eat, we had Denny's for dinner the night we got in, but after a long drive from the north rim of the canyon, we didn't care where we ate as long as it was food. Bed was comfortable and we both had a great night's sleep.

Stayed here for a short one night stop in the middle of a road trip. Loved the décor. Staff were accommodating when our key cards did not work. Bathroom faucet was broken and we could not get hot water. The wild dogs roaming around the parking lot added to the ambiance. I would have liked to stay longer.

Limited choice in Tuba City but was not disappointed with our stay. Rooms good size and clean. Bathroom was adequate with shower over the bath but nice towels etc. No fridge and no safe - could have used both. Breakfast was fine. Entirely adequate for a motel - although perhaps some yoghurt would have been nice. Staff at check in were friendly but not so much at check out. Dennys was OK for dinner - not a lot else in town.

We certainly enjoyed staying at this Inn. It is centrally located to both sides of the Grand Canyon, much of the Navajo NW Reservation, and the Hopi Reservation. The service was good and breakfast was filling. After a day exploring the local sites, swimming in their pool was a treat. Will stay with them again if in the area.
