Kat at Superstition Harley told us about this restaurant. What a beautiful drive 30 minutes out there! Once you get there, the atmosphere inside is everything you would expect from a saloon out west. Saddles for bar stools at the bar, wild animals on the wall. The staff was super friendly, offering to take pictures for the customers. The food was really good, but maybe we were just hungry. Make this a stop if you are near Superstition/Apache Junction. It's a memory making experience!

After boating on Canyon Lake we made the two mile drive to the Saloon. Had the fish tacos they were excellent. Really cool place decorated with dollar bills everywhere. Real saddles at the bar. Local folk lore abounds. Be careful driving out there are no guard rails and plenty of places to go over the edge. It's a long winding road back to civilization. Worth the trip…Have fun...

We went after riding the Dolly Steamboat...this place is great! The chilli is amazing and they literally have the best chips and salsa I've ever had. Plus the atmosphere is too cool!

An incredibly beautiful ride to Tortilla Flat; by the lake you can lunch, bathe, relax. Stop at Superstition Saloon at Tortilla Flat for a beer and sit at the bar (saddles for stools). The whole place is covered (every inch) with single dollar bills... All in all, a cool place to visit - but closes early evening.

Saw a news story about this place this past Sunday and we just had to go. Once outside of Apache Junction, Arizona the drive is slow and windy. I believe the speed limit drops down to 25 mph for at least 10 miles of that road and there are a couple of one lane bridges, so don't be in a hurry to get there.

Once you are there, it's a neat old tourist trap from the early 1900's; granted it was rebuilt in 1987 after a devastating fire destroyed the original place. The menu is a bar food menu, but the portion sizes were good, food was tasty, and the service was great. I had the a grilled chicken sandwich called the Grand Peep (or something close to that). It came in a basket, 8 oz of grilled chicken breast on a bun, with all the trimmings including green chillies, jalapeños on request and french fries. It was pretty tasty.

The neat thing is the bar's character; from the saddle seated bar stools, carved horse's rear end bar stools, to the thousand's of dollar bills and other world currencies, stapled to every vertical surface. The waiter told me they estimate there is nearly $200,000 in currency stapled to the walls. Some areas are three or four layers thick.

While not special or overly outstanding, it's a great place to stop on the way to or from Lake Roosevelt or a unique place to take family or visitors from out of town.
