“Good bar food”
Reviewed September 12, 2012

Not much choice of restaurants in the area, but this one was fun to go to. Good chipotle black bean veggie burger. Others had turkey burgers and liked them. Don't sit in the horse saddle bar stools too long unless you want to walk funny afterwards. Try the prickly pear ice cream next door.

“Food Lived Up to it's Rep...”
Reviewed September 5, 2012

An actually neat tourist trap, remote on the Apache Trail, with better than decent food. I had a great omelet made with their signature chili and it filled me up till din-din. Kids had decent fried apps and nachos, and all was very affordable. Nice fella serving us was friendly and genuine. The walls were literally covered with dollar bills from every corner of the country, and there aren't enough hours in the day to look/read them all. Definitely worth a stop for hungry travelers and tourists on the Trail...

“Loved it, must do if visiting Canyon Lake”
Reviewed August 20, 2012

First of all, the drive is incredible - the views! You must stop at Canyon Lake to work up an appetite by swimming. Do both of these in one trip. About a 45-55 minute drive from Phoenix. Completely worth it. The restaurant is about 2-5 minutes from the lake.

Tortilla Flat was fun and the decor was rustic. I had the famous chili and it did not disappoint, as good as advertised. The rest of the group had burgers, sandwiches and apps. Everything was very good.

Service was excellent. Small gift shop onsite.

“Stop in for a cold one.”
Reviewed August 19, 2012

We always take all of our guests to Tortilla Flats, fun, and beautiful ride to get there and good food and drinks once you arrive. Plenty of things on the walls to check out and all the dollar bills put up by guests from all over the world.
