I've just amused myself for the last few minutes reading the negative comments on this place. These people obviously went in with an already concreted negative attitude because la iguana perdida has been my most favourite place I've stayed in all the countries I've ever been too and I've been traveling since I was 11. The staff are the nicest, most genuine people you've ever met. Even the newbies that had been working there for less than a week managed to make me feel comfortable and the staff that had been working there for a while welcomed me into the iguana family with open arms. Everybody there was so accommodating for everything ranging from my veganism to my late checkin, and hooking me up with a sweeto rasta man outfit for drag night! Mike even sat down with me and became my human dictionary. Olly took me on my first scuba experience ever and was super patient with me even through all the hyperventilation on my part. Jeff has some killer dance moves, especially rocking that Afro and bohemian scarf, dayum. Flo and Jeremy are beautiful musicians, they'll make you stop and realise even more how beautiful their side of the lake is. And Elaine is a sweetheart with some great jokes up her sleeve. The owners are doing an incredible job over there because they know how to attract the best travelers who are not their to scroll through their Facebook feed, but to live and love life. I honestly can't wait to return one day. Much love!
