Nice tour/way to start a day at lake Atitlan.
Was the 1st time doing Stand Up Paddle, but was a great experience and a lot of fun. We was a group of 4 and 1 guide (Marshall).
He take care and did good instruction, tips and what else you need to get familiar with the board and the activity.
Equipment is in real good conditons (looks good cared/new).
Really good was Marshall take a camara for do all the fotos and try guid everyone in position for great pics/memories of the "adventure".
He prepared the fotos and shared after with all of us.
Was really good, so we could stay focused with what we have to do for "paddle" and dont fall or loose control taking pictures. No need take own stuff for fotos or so, so its nice to feel comfortable on the board.
We were on the water 2,5 - 3 hours and had a lot of fun. Nice amazing view and clean water from the lake for swim or refresh.

I can only recommend to do it, if you are here! Great experience.....
Would and will do it again

Saturday 12th of May 9:30 am

1) The driver arrived 25min late.

2) Placed the suitcase on the top without properly tying it up like the rest - that I realized when we reached Antigua and the suitcase was hanging at the edge ready to fall. It was just luck that stayed there for the whole trip!

3) Although had written down on my receipt the hostel I would like to be dropped off - the information was never passed to the driver and I was held hostage for one extra hour while he was picking up the new clients from Antigua. I reach my hotel at 2 pm - 4.5h after departure!

This company is a disgrace and the driver a moron (see pictures)

Cliff jumping into the lake and kayaking around the villages around Lake Atitlan sounds like a great way to spend a week in Santa Cruz La Laguna, a village in Lake Atitlan. I booked in Los Elementos for a tour around some of the villages that surround the lake and was impressed by the organization and leadership they show. They got the local knowledge for every village that we visited and are very friendly. I'm looking forward for my next visit to this amazing town.

Chichicastenango Market Days which are Thursday and Sundays becoming an overcrowded Tourist event which has driven the local Artisans away from the market. On these days you can hardly walk through the market the crowds are so bad.

I recommend going on non Tourist Market days. You will find the local Artisans have returned on these days and you will find authentic works of art, weaving and wood works.

We loved our two-day kayaking and hiking tour. Our local guide Alex met us when we stepped off the shuttle in Panajachel and took care of our every need from then on – whether carrying our bags or accommodating our food requests. He taught us a lot about the local Mayan culture and communities around the lake, and answered the many questions we had. We visited Santa Cruz and San Marcos and walked on the foot paths between the villages. We kayaked the shoreline between Panajachel and San Marcos over the two days, enjoying the beautiful scenery. Everything was included in the price of our tour, including overnight accommodations at La Iguana Perdida, meals, transportation to and from Antigua, and all kayak equipment.
