Our family of 4 (2 kids- ages 11 and 8) arranged a 3 day/2night trip to Sirena and a day trip to Cano Island with Kenneth. In addition, we stayed at his small place- Casa Guacamaya.
Kenneth was very responsive from the get-go and made planning quite easy. He seems like an honest tour operator and very friendly.
He arranged for Sabena (?) as our Sirena Guide and being that she is a former teacher, was really great with my kids. Her English was very good and she was an amazing guide- able to spot so many animals for us, many of them so far away. She is very energetic, very flexible, easy going and she made sure to wake us up for our morning hikes (4am). She really took care of every aspect of our Sirena trip, which included getting us set-up on the camp platform and making sure we had our food.
For Cano Island, a different operator took us out. We were told to be there at a certain time, but they didn't end up leaving for an hour. The tour operator was ok, but their English was not just satisfactory. It would have been a better day trip if I had more explanation of where we were snorkeling, what animals we were going to see, etc...
I thought that our overall package price was slightly higher than other quotes, but in the end, we were very happy with the service we received.
Casa Guacamaya is a small, simple, clean hostel. We could not figure out the hot water, so we had cold showers. I thought the price we paid was higher than what was available elsewhere, but because we went during high season, we really did not have many choices. There was a communal kitchen that we made good use of.
