Description: Gringo Curt's Seafood & Visitor Center was established June 2010 and our menu has not changed to date. We have pride in our small menu because it assures that we can provide freshness throughout the year by purchasing fruits, vegetables and fresh fish, locally and daily. There are many benefits to having same day caught fish but one downside is that we cannot guarantee a time that we can open. If we have fish at 12pm, we open. Thank you for your consideration and look forward to your visit Pura Vida!

Food took a long time to come (more than an hour)..but it was worth it. The fish was more than fresh and cooked slowly in a banana leaf and excellent ! With good vegetables and mashed potatoes. The portions are way too big though, one plate is good for 2!

Food took long...but it was worth it. Simply delicious fish wrapped in banana leaf and grilled w/ veg and mashed potatoes. Devine. Don't let the fact that he's a young guy from OH worry you. It is that good. :)

I had an excellent fresh Wahu wrapped in banana leaves with spices accompanied by skin-on mashed potatoes and a meddley of vegetables. I have 2 things to say about my dish, one it was quite a BIG portion which i couldn't finish. I hate to waste food but in this case it was either waste or get a stomach ache. The other is the gourd's skin was left on and it was quite tough compared to the soft flesh. It's a very friendly and nice place with a nice ambience, and a great lookout for birds.

It was a very tasty dinner. In retrospect, we wish we'd gone to a more local place, rather than one run by a foreigner. But the food was good!

Gringo curt cooks up a mean fish taco as well as huge helpings of varied fresh fish, seasoned vegetables and potatoes. Refreshing that he does not fry any of his fish but rather steams it in banana leaves with spices. Curt himself is very welcoming and runs the restaurant like he has just invited a bunch of friends over for dinner - when a neighboring table asked whether he had any snapper, he rifled through his fridge and casually offered to cook them up the one that he had bought for himself that morning. During our meal, he treated us to a full-on slide show on his large computer about various aspects of Drake Bay, including the hike from Drake to San Pedrillo.
