I only had the chance to stay one night. The owner, Michael, is super helpful to everyone. He knows the area and is very open. The hotel is a bit pricey, but he actually helped other couples find cheaper accommodations. The rooms are nicely decorated and appointed with coffee makers. The beds are comfortable. The pool is large and open, but a bit too warm because of the exposure. Shading part of it at least would really help. The restaurant/bar/club area is large and nicely decorated also. The beach is in front of the hotel with a nice palm-shaded area to sit. The ocean itself is not that great in front of the hotel as waves are coming in from different angles and there are some very large rocks-hey Rocas-but open beaches are to the right and an interesting point is to the left, so you will find what you need. It is away from other hotels so it is much more private.

Tuna, Cordon Bleu, Pizza were all delicious. Portion size just right. Live music on Friday nights. Easy access from Dominical, 1Km out of town on the beach.
Large open dining area with ceiling fans, no air conditioning.

Stopped here several times for drinks and food! Beers were cold and have a good drink selection! Margaritas are awesome! Stay there one night. The room we had two double beds and air conditioning! Friday night had live entertainment! Overall a really great experience!

My husband and I and our two older boys (19 and 16) visited CR for the first time Dec 16-23. My husband found Roca Verde on trip advisor and talked to Michael before we made the travel. We had plan to only stay a couple of days and then travel up the coast since my guys are surfers. We ended up staying at Roca Verde the entire trip. The cost of the room was more then fair. The food was wonderful, the staff was welcoming. We felt safe being there and Michael was extremely helpful. We did venture out and tried a few other restaurants...we loved Patrons and Tequila Flatts. We also did the mangrove tour, I recommend driving straight to the facility. That was a fun experience. And we did the zip line tour....pros and cons to that. Michael set us up with a friend of his for a 3 hour fishing trip, the fish were not biting that day (we only caught 1 macrel). But we had fun and Michaels cooking staff fixed us a wonderful meal with it. I would definitely stay here again next time we visit CR.

A fab little hotel and hideaway in beautiful surroundings with own private clean beach. Gorgeous reception & dining area with sea life painted on the walls. Staff were friendly, super helpful & even managed to get us a private transfer to our next location despite it being really short notice and Christmas holidays. Wifi access in the reception & dining area only.

We stayed in apartment 7 which was fab. Quirky art painted on the walls, comfortable beds & great shower. A wonderful little terrace too. Superb air conditioning which cooled room perfectly and was quiet enough to leave on all night. No safe but rooms very secure. Please note no wifi in rooms.

We dined in their restaurant one evening and the food was great, fresh and well prepared. Highly recommend the tuna steak. Breakfast is included in the room rate and was lovely although there were only two choices and no flexibility with these. One thing I would say is that it's a little mean to only allow coffee or juice in the morning but not both and only one glass of juice. Would prefer to pay slightly more on room rate and be able to have both drinks with breakfast and no limit on the amount of drinks.

Perfect location for exploring Dominical as its very near main beach and all the bars & restaurants at approx 20 mins leisurely walk along the beach.

Word of warning the sea at Dominical is rough and wild hence making it a favourite for surfers who love the waves. Be careful of rip tides and currents when swimming here.

All in all a perfect spot and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Highly recommend it.
